Thought you might like to know that Barney McCario (one of Pete's brothers) is buried in Kilbourne Cemetery, Kilbourne, Mason County, Illinois. Don't know if you've tried it but findagrave.com may have some information for you. Here's Barney's memorial and there are links to his parents:

Hi... My name is Kristy McCario... I live in Panama, IL. My grand-father was Pete McCario, son of John and Martha... Grandpa Pete went on to marry a woman named Helen, and they had 17 children! (my father being one of them) 14 survive today, along with my grandma Helen. And, yes, McCario's did come from Italy, but my dad has papers that say we don't really spell it "McCario" but a different way (a way I'm not too sure of).... but anyways, please, e-mail me back, I'm so excited about this! thanks... my e-mail address is kristy_83_02@yahoo.com
