My Great Grandfather is Alexander B MacDonald 1847-1926. Born South River Nova Scotia Canada. His first wife was Annie McInnis, his second was Catherine McInnis. They lived in Thorburn/Pictou Nova Scotia. Alexander's Dad was John B MacDonald, Born in Scotland, John's wife was Catherine MacDonald born Antigonish Nova Scotia. Looking for any Info on this John B MacDonald

I'm seeking information on my gg-grandfather John Macdonald, who was married to a Catherine and lived in the Antigonish area. Their son Angus, born 1854, was my great-grandfather. He was a sea captain and died in St. John, New Brunswick in 1900. He had three wives and four children who made it past infancy, including my grandfather John and his brothers William, Hugh and Walter. If there's any connection, please let me know! Cheers!

I don't have any information on my g-grandfather Alexander's siblings, if any, so I don't know if he had a brother Angus. I believe I found Alexander's death certificate which states that his father was John B MacDonald from Scotland and his mother was Catherine MacDonald from Antigonish. What I know about Alexander: They lived in Thorburn, Pictou county Nova Scotia. Alexander married Annie McInnis and they had John Angus MacDonald (my grandfather). Annie died soon after John was born and Alexander married her sister Catherine and they had two more sons, Hilary and Donald. Both my grandfather and g-grandfather were Coal Miners. That's all I got.
