Hi my name is Naomi. My mothers maiden name is MacDonald. My Grandmother has been keeping a family tree for the past decade or so. Angus does ring a bell to me and I will try to find out the information that you are seeking. I sure we are related somewhere along the line. We now reside in Connecticut

I have found two children of a Donald MacDonald and Mary Maclellan baptized in Glengarry County at St Raphaels. The first is and Archibald McDonald born 06/10/1848 on the 6th concession, Lancaster. The second is a Margaret baptized on 05/02/1841 on the 5th Concession, Lancaster. I could find now reference to a son Angus Donald through the year 1854 at St. Raphaels.

I made a few errors... noticed them after I transmitted (sorry). The original "Donald MacDonald and Mary Maclellan" message should have read as follows:

I have found two children of a Donald MacDonald and Mary Maclellan baptized in Glengarry County at St Raphaels. The first is an Archibald McDonald born 06/10/1848 on the 6th concession, Lancaster. The second is a Margaret baptized on 06/25/1840 on the 5th Concession, Lancaster. I could not find a reference to a son Angus Donald through the year 1854 at St. Raphaels.

Hi, there.....my records indicate that you are descended from Angus (b. 1846 Canada) and I am descended from Alexander (Sandy), his brother, born 1843 Canada....The Alexander MAcDonald family lived in Roxborough township and are listed in the 1871 Ontario census as are an Angus MAcDonald and Archie MAcDonald family....Do you have anything more on Donald (b.in 1795 Scotland)? Tks J.MacDonald for St. Raphael's data... I believe Donald is buried at St. Andrew's in the old cemetery and Alex in the new one...Does anyone have any confirmation of this?... check out worldconnectrootsweb.com for some tree stuff going only as ffar back as Donald
