I'm looking for an Alexander Malcolm's parents names and anything about them. I know Alexander Malcolm was born May 10, 1855 in Canada (No idea exact place). He married a Flora Bell Koontz on Aug 17 1884 in Pendleton, OR. They had 4 Children, Archie, Lawrence, Delbert, and Thelma. All I know about Alexander Malcolm's parents are that his fathers name is William Malcolm. Any help is much appreciated, as I've been trying to figure this out for ages.

I don't have all the Scotland births just yet, but their daughter Helen Malcolm married my grandfather's brother James McIntosh in Queens, NY. It was nice to see your posts.

I am searching for any connection to my Malcolm family. The furthest ancestor I have is James MALCOLM, born 1827, Longside Aberdeen, Sctl. He was baptised in Mintlaw, June of 1827. Listed as parents are Alexander Malcolm and Eliza. MacKay. I cannot find anything on James' parents.
My James moved to England in 1847 with the Scots Guards. He died there is 1851, leaving a son, James Alexander Malcolm, born Dec. 19, 1850. This James married Eliza Mowle, and they had several children, only one of which I can trace: William Douglas Malcolm, who married Annie Prodger.
Mimi Malcolm

Hi, I know this is some time since you posted this message but I have only just got around to the Malcolm's in my tree. I have a John Frederick Malcolm b1859 in Holburn, Middlesex to father James, mother unknown. John Fredeick married Rhoda Clayton in 1880 and this is where my line comes from. I also have a birth certificate for a Frederick John Malcolm b1854 in Holburn, Middlesex to parents John Whitmell Malcolm and Elbana Edney Page. I got this certificate by mistake but perhaps it means something to you? Kathy.

Good to see your name again! I don't have the three names you mentioned here. How do they fit? I have a Malcolm file of papers from Salem, Marion, Illinois, and have been itching to get into the details there. Let's hook up again.
Randy Schuppan

Lance, I'm not asking for any laborious lookup, but only if it's easy to answer my question: my earliest is Joseph Malcolm, b. abt 1782 in Augusta Co. VA, died 12 Feb 1857 in Marion Co. IL. Married to Rachel Tate, b. 2 Aug 1870 in Stokes Co. NC, died 5 Apr 1858 in Marion Co. IL. If he would not be listed in the book you mention, then there would be no purpose in my chasing. There are many Malcolm lines. Thanks for reading this.

Anna,
Do you live in Slidell? I would love to talk to you ... my cell phone number is 817-456-1753 if you would like to chat. It is so nice to find people out there that are related. My mom grew up in Sycamore, going to Slidell school. Her mother, Mary Malcolm-Wilson, was Andrew Robert and Callie Prairie's(Roop) daughter. Are you by chance talking about Anna Lee Reeves that you are related to?? And Anna Merle? My grandmother is very closed mouth about her family and never talked about her sister or growing up. I would love to hear about that side of the family! I'm so excited to hear from you!!
Trudy
Poor/Poore and Malcolm families

Thomas Poore, son of Nathaniel (1806-1865) and Martha (unknown) was the brother of James K Poore (b 1850). James and his wife Angeline Gibson had a daughter, Mattie Poore (b 1879) who married Luther Malcolm in 1894. Luther's cousin (2nd? 3rd?), Charlotte Malcolm (1876-1942) married James Anderson Poore (1874-1952), son of Silas C Malcolm and grandson of George and Martha (Allison) Malcolm. All of these people are found in Edgar and Jasper Counties, Ill. and Vigo County, Indiana from Charlotte and Lee Counties, Virginia, by way of (Green)Kentucky and (Johnson Co) Indiana. In the 1850 census Prudence Chisholm nee Poore (1782-) is living with Nathaniel Poore's family in Edgar County, Illinois. She is the widow of William Chisholm, whom she married in Green Kentucky. The Chisholms also came from Charlotte County, Va.

James Anderson Poore is the grandson of Greenville Green Poore b. 1804, Virginia. I would like to know whether and, if so, how Green Poore b 1804 in Virginia and Nathanie Poore b. 1806 in Virginia, are related. Also, is Prudence Poore's husband William Chisholm related to an earlier William Chisholm who lived in Charlotte County Va and found there in the 1782 Virginia Census and is a neighbor of James Malcolm (1752-1829) who moved to Georgia.

That is very interesting as my Grandmother always told us we were from royalty as well. Do you have any first names for Malcolm. I am looking for information on Malcolms who came from Monifieth, Forfarshire, Angus. They lived in a place called Woodbine Cottage. Parents: George, Elizabeth, children: George, Elizabeth, Ann, Jane, Peter, Isabella, Helen, Charles, Marjory & William.
Looking forward to hearing from you
Nancy Malcolm James
Hastings, Ontario, Canada
Hello ... My Grandfather, David Peter Malcolm was born in Alva, Scotland. His parents were Charles and Christina (Fife) Malcolm. He migrated to the United States and married Edith Ann Wilson in June of 1900. They had 2 children, Christina Fife (Malcolm) Carlton and Evalyn Wilson (Malcolm) Crockwell. He died in WWI in France and was buried in Flanders Field. I don't know if this helps you ... or even if we may be related. It would be nice to hear from you. Sincerely, David Malcolm Crockwell

From the limited information I currently know about her, she most likely resided in the Johnstown, PA/Somerset County region in 1919.

I don't have much else to go on so if anyone can provide any info I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Jen

Michael Malcolm 1695

I am seeking the parents and siblings of Michael Malcolm born in 1695. He left Ulster for America in 1720. At the time he was married to a woman named Sarah----, and they had a son William who was born in Ulster. Several years ago I had a response from a gentleman names Michael J. Malcolm, I would like to get in contact with him also. Any help will be most greatly appreciated. Thank you.
