Yes, it's very interesting to find you here, brother. I found a very interesting site today. It's malo.com, and the one in charge of the site is a Nicolas Malo. There is a section about the history of the Malo family, but it says nothing about the Malo's that are all over the Rivera of Navarra & Logroño. So I have sent an email to start contact with him.

My Louis Malo married Marie Alexandrine Hebert. They stayed in MA and Voluntown, CT. Their daughter Eulo Malo was my great grandmother. They are not the Tauton "Malo's" though maybe they are cousins/aunts/uncles/grandparents/brothers/sisters of one another. Do you know if your family had any relationship to CT/Voluntown, CT?

Marie's father, Joseph, lost both his father and uncle in the Canadian Rebellion against the British. Then his family migrated to USA. Maybe this is the case with the Louis Malo family as well?

Hi, Herb. My G-father was Louis Malo from Quebec...married Annie Cloe who was born in 1874 (I think) and died Sept.18, 1951. Eva was one of my father's (John) sisters.I have her listed as deceased in Jan.1937 at the age of 36. Her siblings included: Joseph L., Arthur E., Walter, Virginia and many more. Oral history claims that Annie birthed 16 children with Louis who also sired 5 additional children with his first wife. My father, John, married Louise Tierney...they lived in Taunton for many years. Ancestry.com has a lot of census and some other info on this family. I have a Louis Malo who lived in the same time from in MA but he was born in Canada, so I came across all the documents for this family, but none for mine, sigh!

I am looking for Eula, Walter, and Lenora Clarence, and Eliza Malo. Louis Malo was their father and Mary/Marie Alexandrine Hebert/Herbert was their mother. Both parents came from Quebec and married in Worchester, MA in 1881. The eldest children, Eula and Walter were born in MA. the younger three were born in CT. The family then moved to Andover, MA. Walter married Fannie Denman from Willington, CT and they eventually settled there. They had a daughter called Beatrice. Fannie’s parents are Thomas Denman and Hansina Peterson. Eula married William Handley, she is my great grandmother and she married Francis Richards. Clarence joined the Merchant Marine and moved to California. I do not know what happened to Lenora and Eliza/Elzar, or anything more about Clarence. I do not know what happened to Mary Alexandrine Hebert, she died at the age of 37, but I do not know where. I do not know where Louis died or where in Quebec Louis and Mary came from or if they knew each other there or not.

I am looking for Clarence Malo. He was born in Voluntown, CT, his family moved to MA, and he joined the Merchant Marines and lived in California. He lived in LA, San Deigo, and San Francisco. His mother was Mary Alexandrine Hebert/Herbert and his father was Louis Malo. His isters were Lenora, Eula, and Eliza. Thanks, Kim

According to the marriage certificate - 8 Jan 1821 - the parents of Louis Malo were cited as unknown. The document can be located by searching the misspelled Catherine Dufrene and Louis Mole - some job transcribing.

I have been trying for years to establish pedigree for my great grandfather, Jean Baptiste Malo. I have only found US census documents with his spouse listed as Angel, also a daughter by the same. So it is very important I understand why you refer to Marie by 'Angel'. I'll help you however I can.

Hello Juan Salcedo Malo..we have something in common. My father was Adolfo Malo (Ruteaga?) of Guaymas, Sonora. Owned an auto repair shop by profession, married four times..lots of offsprings although I am the only daughter by his third marriage. He is originally from Guaymas, Sonora. I believe his mother was Maria Ruteaga... I only new him till the age of 5 as my parents divorced as a little girl/ It ismyudnerstanding that the syunrame Malo orginates from a Viking clan who stteld in Normandy, France,, moved to France and emmigrated to Guadalajara, mexico by way of a Doctor from southern Spain. Malo is a rare name in Mexico and in Mexcali.. do not knopw much about the name in Guaymas but am interested.

Do not see any recent posts so do not know if you are still research Malo's in Minnesota. My Grandmother is Edna Malo, daughter of Johann Friedrich Ferdinand Malo and Frieda Maria Augusta Toerpe. Your great grandfather, John Carl Malo would have been a brother of my g-g-grandfather.

I too have struggle with researching the "Malo" name. I have been in contact with a wife of my dad's 2nd cousin (Theodore Charles Malo, 1936-2002), who may have significant additional information that her husband had collected.

I will be willing to share info if you are still researching this line.

Did you know that there is a town in North-central Washington state named Malo. I live there. It has been named Malo since at least 1903 when a general store/post office/train station was built. The owner/builder, Henry Hill, appearantly named it Malo, but no one knows where the name came from - Indian? St. Malo in France? There were people of Scandanavian backgrounds in the area, but I'm not sure that Mr. Hill was.

I don't know if this will help you. But it might be interesting to you at least.

We are about 40 Malo's in Norway, all in the same family line.

I believe that:

Fred George Malo is my great-grandfather.

His son from Wife #2 Frederick Ronald Malo(Sr) is my grandfather.

Fred R. Malo(Sr) had a son Frederick Ronald Malo(Jr) which is my father. And 2 daughters: Chrissy(who has a daughter Tiffany) and Kelly(who has a son). He was married to Betty Adler(now divorced).All born in Cleveland, OH.

Fred R. Malo(Jr) was married to Tammy Weatherly (my mother) They are now divorced. Together they had 3 daughters: Malorie(me), Crystal(deceased), & Justine. He also had a Child out of wedlock named Ashley.

"My sister Crystal is buried on top of Fred G. Malo(SR)" (your husband & our great-grandfather.)

I(Malorie) have a son named Tristan and Justine is due Jan. 27th with a boy..

Fred R Malo(Jr) died Aug. of 2005. Chrissy died in 2001.
Kelly resides in Port Salerno, FL.

My grandfather Fred R. Malo(Sr) is still alive living near Palm City, FL.(I haven't spoke in many years)

Your Husbands Mother(laraine) and My father Fred R. Malo(Jr) are first cousins.

That makes your husband and I Third cousins!

PS. If you locate my grandfather Fred R. Malo(SR) please contact me because I tried but haven't been able to locate him since he moved to Florida.

Here is what I've been able to find about the Malo (Malolepszy) branch, this is all research of my husband's ancestors.

George Malolepszy (Jr.) (also called Albert) was born in Germany in 1873 and died in Cleveland, Feb. 1926. (My husband's great-great-grandfather)

His wife was Catherine/Katerina Friess (also called Carrie), she was born in Germany in 1874 and died in Cleveland, Jan. 1959.

They had 3 children:

- George (III): b.1892 - d.1965. Never married.
- John/Johnie Lawrence: b.1893 - d.1966. Married twice.
- Frederick/Fred George: b. 2 Nov. 1897 - d. 27 Jul 1973. (My husband's great-grandfather)

Frederick/Fred George Malo (Sr.) was married twice:

Wife #1, Florence H. Fenn:
-they had one son: Fred George Malo (Jr.), b.29 Aug 1917 - d.11 Aug 1995. He married Wanda Boguszewski (these are my husband's grandparents) and had three daughters: Sharon, Laraine (my mother-in-law) and Susan.

With wife #2, Virginia Lewicki (also called Jenefa):
-they had one son: Fred R. Malo (Sr.) - no information found -
**Virginia had already been married to an Adam Tavrell, the two children from that marriage were: Adam F. Tavrell and Frank Stanley Tavrell.

My Dad's name was Fred R. Malo, Jr- born in 1965. His father was Fred R. Malo, Sr.- born in 1947. They're from Ohio. And I believe Fred G. Malo might me my Dads Grandfather or greatgrandfather. I don't know much about my fathers side. Only what i have writen. My dad said they were from Prussia. Kingdom of Prussia was a German kingdom from 1701 to 1918 and, from 1871, was the leading state of the German Empire.

I may have found what you were looking for in the Drouin. I found the marriage of Joseph Vezina and a Ayet Malo in St roch de L'Achigan, but the name isn't listed as Vitaline - it is Anathalie - who happens to be the daughter of Gabriel & Monique Raymond. So if this is the same person as Vitaline, and I can't imagine that it isn't, then she is the sister of Narcisse.

Can someone please help me. I have been seaching for the children of Gabriel hayet dit Malo(dob Aug 1801), his wife was Monique Phocas Raimond. My Great Grandfather Narcisse Malo was one of Gabriel’s children and was born around 1825. Although I have no hard prove, I believe Narcisse’s sister is Vitaline Ayet Malo and she was married to Joseph Vezina in St Roch de L’Achigan I have seached the Drouin
Index with no luck. I also used the Drouin to search the towns around St. Roch de L’Achigan. I am at my wits end any help would be most appreciated.

MALO - Mrs. Blanche Anna (Montmarquet) Malo, wife of George A. Malo and a lifelong resident of this city, died last night at the Lowell General hospital, aged 25 years, 10 months and 25 days. Besides her husband, she is survived by her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert J. Montmarquet, and one step-sister, Miss Jeannette Montmarquet of Derry, N.H. The body was removed to her home, 246 Crawford street, by Undertakers Amedee Archambault & Sons.
