Megan,

I cannot find a link in my data. (Everything I have is on the web site)

One clue that suggests the link may not be direct is the childrens names. In those days names were carried down through the generations. Yet there are not many similarities between your Mandy's and mine.

Carl

Looking for Mary Mandy, 1850 Maryland

I'm looking for Mary Mandy later Mary Bird. The 1850 Washington county, Maryland census shows John and Frederich Mandy and Susan and Ellen Nule, ages 25, 20, 25, and 4 respectively, living Mary and her then husband Thomas Bird, my third great grandfather. Could Mandy be Mary's first husband's name. Could John and Susan be twins? Do you have any information about Mary?

Thanks.

John Mandy, Lancashire and Cheshire

My husband's Mandy family came to the U.S. in 1882. They appeared on the 1881 British Census in Monks Coppenhall, Cheshire, England. John Mandy, b. c1847, and his wife Jane Pedley, b. c1850 immigrated with their son, Edward Charles, b. 1871, to Birmingham, Alabama. Three other children were born in Cheshire, but were not living by 1900. John and Jane were married in 1870 in Congleton. John died before 1900 and Jane in 1914 in Alabama. Anyone connected to us?

George Mandy of Farningham and Eynsford in Kent, England

Hi,

I am chasing information on a George Mandy. I believe he was born at Chislehurst in Kent on 29 September 1783. He married Mary Ann Jewell on 11 April 1810, and had ten children. Unfortunately two were illegitimate. A Sarah Hearn was the mother.

He ran the Bull Inn in Farningham for many years before moving to Eynsford.

You can find a lot more information at;
http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?o...
or at
http://www.gencircles.com/users/carlprowse/1/

Looking forward to any information you can find

Carl Prowse
