Looking for the parents of Will Mansfield b. abt 1775 in Baden Baden, Germany. Married Miss Thomas of , Craven, North Carolina. Will's father was James, also born in Germany. I know nothing about James. Can You help?

Ms. Cannon: I am resuming research on Mansfield family that I started in college 20 years ago. Will Mansfield is my greatx5 grandfather. His son Norman married Miss Thomas and their son Norman Mansfield married Virginia Janey Haney May 8, 1836. She was supposed to have been a full-blooded Cherokee. They lived in Dunlap, Tennessee. I would be appeciative of any info on Will Mansfield and his ancestors as well. I will keep your address and pass any info to you that I obtain. Thanks for the posted note. I'm a direct descendent of Norman Mansfield (ca 1806-1881)...love rto know more about his dad and ancestors. I've it that his dad was Will...one of three brothers (Mansfledt)from Germany by way of England. Doak
