Dr. Telford Grant Maple, the well known Maple family historian/genealogist, died on Mar 26, 2005 at Bellevue WA. Following is a summary of personal info that Dr. Maple included in his book, Genealogical History of the Maple/Mapel Family in America, published in 1993 with later updates:
Telford Grant Maple was born on May 17, 1919 in Seattle WA to Telford Odell Maple & Telford's 2nd wife Mary Frances Grant. T.G. Maple married Rosalie Joy Urbaniak on Jul 27, 1949 at Seattle WA. Rosalie died on Dec 12, 1994 at Sedona AZ. Dr. Maple earned a BS in Chemistry at the Univ of WA in 1941. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry by M.I.T. in 1949. Mentioned in American Men of Science, 10th Edition et seq. President & Commodore of Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Assn. 1974. Member of Am Chem Soc, IEEE, DAV, Retired Officers Assoc, etal. Military service Jun 1941-Oct 1944. Lived 1987-1995 in Sedona AZ and Bellevue WA from 1995 (to 2005).
Dr. Maple was a serious historian and genealogist and was quite gracious and generous about sharing his research with others. He is missed.
