MARCIANOs in VA/DC/MD

I am looking for information both UP and DOWN the line of Vincenzo & Catherine Marciano. Here is a rough estimate of what I already have:
Vincenzo, Catherine & all 4 of their children were born in Reggio, Clabria, Italy
Vincenzo immigrated to the USA in about 1903 and eventually settled in DC. If the original ship manifest that I saw is correct (and if it really was him), he originally went to visit an uncle in NY city (don't know where and name is not clear). Vincenzo was probably born around 1883 and died on 15 Feb [????] in DC. He was a lamplighter for the city.
Catherine's maiden name is unknown. She died in 1948.

DAUGHTERS:
Eleanora (1913-2000), wife of Rev. C. Gordon Clews (1914-1995); they had 3 children (dss) & 5 grandchildren.
Margaret Zagami had at least one daughter, Josephine, who died in 1987. I do not know if Aunt Margaret is still living.
Demencia (~1910) is only listed on a passenger list. I have not found reference to her anywhere else.

SON:
Demetrio A. (~1920) Marciano's wife, Irene C., died in 1981 in Langley Park, Maryland. In her obituary, there are listed 3 sisters: Minnie Cohen, Viginia D. DiDomico and Viola Ebberman.
Demetrio & Irene had the following children... whom are probably still living (but I don't know for sure)
Catherine G.
Mary F. Sydnor (son Kevin Gene Sydnor)
Patricia L. Gilmore
Vincent F.
Theresa L.

Vencenzo may have married again after Catherine died. If so, his second wife's name was Amabeli.

Hope y'all can help me add to this line or correct what I have uncovered. Cheers.

Seeking infomation on my grandmother born 12/6/1878 in Monte Corvino, Itlay (I think) arrived in No Philadelphia with her parents, Francis and Catherine, sisters and brothers in 1883. Married my grandfather Gabrielle Bruno in 1895 and moved to Bronx, NY. Gabrielle's parents Stanley and Josephine arrived also from Monte Covino, Italy in 1888 and settled in the East Village. I think the my greatgrand parents ont he Bruno side had a son, daughter, twin girls and perhaps an adopted son. My greatgrand parents on the Marciano side I think had three children, two girls and a son. Trying to locate any relatives who can give me some info on either family.

I am in the same boat. It is hard to try to find some of my distance relatives even though I have been in my grandfather hometown Striano, Napole (even letters written by his relatives). I met some cousins there. That was great. I am aware that most fo his relatives lived in New York while my grandfather after immigrating to New York with his parents, when to Venezuela circa 1990. I have old letters that helped me to trace his birth place and additional information.

Your e-mail does tell me that we are not related at all. He was from Striano, Napole.

Try www.radici.italiane.com address you may find it useful in tracing your roots.

Best wishes on your search.

Best Regards.

Dr. Delia A.
Marciano

My grandfather came from Italy (Striano, Naples. This area is very close to Pompei). His name was Samuel Marciano. He immigrated to USA (New York, Brooklyn) late1880 with his parents (Francesco and Teresa); two brothers (Benjamin and Ernesto) and I believed two nieces whose last name I believe was Ferrara (they were the daughters of Graziela Marciano who died tragically in Italy at a young age). My grandfather also has other siblings that did not immigrate to New York. A sister named Antonieta Marciano who married a DiPrisco from a close town name San Guiseppe Vesubiano. There was another sister also married (I do not recall her name); and there was another brother Alonzo (or Alfonzo) who tragically died younger in Italy during a storm (so I was told). I was able to trace my grandfather’s family during a trip to Italy and with some information gathered from old letters. Indeed, I met some relatives during that visit to Striano. I was told that some relatives were living in Flushing (New York). They provided me with an address but the mail came back.

My grandfather (circa 1890) immigrated to Venezuela and married a Marie Bruneteau (from France). They have ten children (Berta, Federico, Teresa, Ana Luisa, Margarita, Elena, Samuel, Carlota, Eugenia y Luis Augusto my father). I was informed that my grandparents, my aunt Berta and uncle Federico did come to New York circa 1900 for a visit (apparently my uncle Federico was sick and they were also looking for a second medical opinion). We have pictures of such visit. I also was told that Benjamin (my grandfather’s brother) went to Venezuela for a visit. He apparently got sick after returning from Venezuela.

There is much more to tell. However, I just want to post this message with specific details to get some response (I am assuming that somebody could recollect some of the above mentioned events).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Dr. Delia A.
Hello Wilma! I wish I could add something to our geneology. I was told that our Grandmother was a midwife in the Bronx. My Father took us to Philadelphia to visit an elderly Uncle back in the early 1950's. Have you found any relatives in Philadelphia? I hope you and your Mother are doing well.
