Not difficult at all. It was a long time ago. Both of Gary's parents have passed away. As far as I know, his sons' mother's parents had custody of the boys. I'm sorry I'm not much help, but as I said, I never met them. I don't believe he had any contact with them at all. At least not as long as I knew him, which was a little over two years, I think. I did meet his mother, Augusta (Gus)(Ekman) and his father, Emmett (Em), and a cousin in Stillwater, MN once - I think his name was Steve. But, that is about the extent of it.

Sorry I don't have more information for you.

Pam

Dear Pam,

Thanks so much for getting in touch. My interest in Gary is that he was an Ekman descendant through his mother, and at the time the Ekman family was planning a re-union (eventually plans were abandoned because few of us could make it). I realize this is probably difficult for you, but do you know who was looking after his sons? Was it his grandparents?

Many thanks,
Laurie

I am the Pam Schulz that was married to Gary Marengo for six months in 983. I never met his children, but I believe he had two from his marriage to Linda, and I think their names were Matt and Mark. I also received a phone call from a young man probably 15 years ago or so claiming to be Gary's son from a high school graduate night one-night stand. I do not recall his name - I only talked to him via telephone once. He said Gary did not know that he was his son. Gary was the only child of Gus and Em Marengo.

Sorry for such a delayed response. I am unable to locate a copy of my marriage license to Gary and googled him and found your query.

Pam

Adeline is my grandmother. I'm curious about the document 52525 you mention. We have been trying to find documentation that Adeline was in fact a daughter of George Michel and not Louis Marengo. I can be contacted by e-mail. salishkootenaiqt@netscape.net or sadiep@cskt.org. Hope we are able to help one another. My Dad was Les Peone who passed in 2006. My grandma, Bernice passed last year. Just came across this by chance. Today my grandma Bernice would have been 84.

Gary Emmet MARENGO 1947 - 1983 Minnesota

I am looking for information about Gary Emmet MARENGO, born 1947 died 1983 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. He was the only child (I believe) of Nellie Augusta EKMAN (b 1910 Oregon d 1998 Minnesota) and Emmet Loren MARENGO (b 1912 d 1988 both in Minnesota). I am trying to trace desdendants of an EKMAN line and would like to know whether Gary had any children. He was married twice, first in 1966 (his wife Linda Helen BARTELL died in 1970) and then in 1983 a few months before his death to Pamela J. SHULZ. I have seen a photo of his first wife and she has a baby on her knee, but I can't find any further information -- the child may have been a niece or nephew, or even a friend's baby.

I would be very grateful for any information.

George Michel, son of Mitch Michel and Sophie Finley, was born about 1894/1897, and in 1934, married (9240) Anna "Annie" Finley, daughter of Nazaire "Nazon" Finley and Mary Gerome "Kwil Kwil Luis" Quill, who was born about 1886. George died on 8 Jan 1937. Anna "Annie" died on 8 May 1938. Anna "Annie" was married to Louis Marengo.

Notes for George Michel:
Notes:
1. Al.#1926.
2. Twin of Lucy Michel.

!NOTES:
1.Flathead Al.# 1926

This is from a word document compiled by Charles (Chalk) Courchane. I am looking for descendants of George Michel, brother of Lucy Michel, my grandmother. My father, Robert Webb(or Robert Lee Jones on the birth certificate) was her son and he was adopted out in the late 1920's.

I did find in this document 52525 Adeline Bernice Michel who was a descendant of George and Anne but I'm wondering if she is the same one that died last year in St. Ignatius, MT and, if so, can any living relatives give me more info on George or Lucy Michel.

We found a marriage at Ste-Anne (Manchester or Fall River) last week between Abraham Mannings-Marengo (son of Joseph Mannings-Marengo)and Adelaide Beauregard (daughter of Pierre Beauregard and Zoé Langevin) on Sept 26/1869. A baby called Abraham is born on July10/1870 at Manchester. We think that it is their son. Here in Quebec the baby's name was Abraham Ménard and Adélaide got another marriage at St-Pie-de-Bagot on Feb. 6/1872. Nothing is said about the other marriage. We know, in the family, that there was something hidden about that birth. And we also know that Abraham Ménard has visited relatives at Iberville and they didn't know his existence. For us, Abraham Ménard was an illegitime child and his parents were Abraham Ménard????? and Adélaide Beauregard. His mother married Pierre Bonnier Laplante (Pierre Plante) and Pierre signed at the first marriage of Abraham Ménard (son)

In your genealogy, does your Joseph Mannings-Marengo have a child named Abraham???

An answer will be appreciated

Hi,
Do you know if your Ancestor Joseph Marengo have a son called Abraham Mannings Marengo? I just found a marriage in United States on Sept 26/1869 of Abraham Mannings Marengo with Adelaide Beauregard. Abraham is the son of Joseph Mannings Marengo and Mary???. They probably had a son on July 10/1870 at Manchester. There's a big mistery around that baby. Here in Quebec, his name was Abraham Ménard . We heard stories about Marengo (everything was secret between adults) and I know that Abraham Ménard (may be his real name was Abraham Mannings-Marengo) met his sisters Marengo at Iberville. I am trying to find something else for you. An answer will be appreciated. I am speaking French, I live near Montreal (Quebec) . Excuse my English mistakes
