My great grand father was Christopher Marwod born 14.sep.1841 in Sneaton and was maried to Sarah Jane STockton born dec.1841 Ugthorpe. Any information regarding them and their family would be be greatly appreciated.
Christopher father was George Marwood, unusre if he is related to the George Marwood from Busby Hall or not.

Isabella Eleanor born around 1808 in Aislaby is a direct line relation. I'm trying to work out which father to choose! it seems every Marwood called his daughter Isabella Marwood. I've found three born in Whitby to within, but a few years too young for mine.

I suspect the one I'm looking for married an Eleanor or had Eleanor for a mother-in-laaw.

Mine married William BRITTAIN c1827. Daughter Lucy Marwood Brittain (Britton) married John PYBUS.

An Isabella Eleanor at various times ran boarding houses and an Inn.

Ethel born 1882 Redfern N.S.W.Australia died 1944 Newtown N.S.W. parents Goodwin and Mary Marwood. Ethel had at least 3 other siblings Myra M born 1888, Mabel M.born 1884, Robert S. born 1880 all born in the Sydney N.S.W. area.Ethel marr.1900 Sydney N.S.W. to Charles William Stringfellow they had at least 7 children.

1891 and 1900 census of Manitoba indicates they are there during those years living in South Norfolk District.

There are other possible children but no maiden name match is possible at present, these are as follows:
