Random thoughts on your search

1. All of New Zealand message boards
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.oceania.newzealand/mb....

This board has 70+ MASON items
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.oceania.newzealand.gen...

2. I found no items for Mahaska surname. Not having Hemi's surname on New Zealand message boards is a lost opportunity.

3. If you can find the "best fit" among the NZ message boards for George & Hemi, I strongly suggest one good pedigree message showing George & Hemi and all six of their children including the stillborm with complete names, dates, localities. -- Board Admin

I am looking for the grandchildren of this couple who married around 1838(my Great, Great, Great, Great grandparents) who lived in Banks Peninsula. They had 6 sons, 1st died and birth.
George came from London and Hemi was a local at Little River. They met when George was captured along with his friend John Fluerty, they landed at Kapiti Island whaling station on Christmas Day 1837 from Sydney, Australia - where they stayed briefly in Te Rauparaha's stronghold, later sailing to Port Chalmers and lastly to Akaroa arriving 4 Jan 1838

I have the names of the sons, but would like to get deeper and get the names of their children, husbands/wifes, last names and etc.

Anything would be a great help

Thanks Hannah

Mark,
Please contact me via email off the message board as my reply would be too long here....I think we are talking about different people. (generations) BUT in reading your other posts I have additional info that might be of use to you. I have that Nathan Mason who married Elizabeth Wood died 6 Mar 1804 in Fort Ann and that Elizabeth died 22 March 1812 in NY....NOT that they died on the same day.

...My line is:
Alexander
Robert/Probert
Sampson
Isaac
Nathan
Samson
Haile
Amos
Gordon
Denton
Orrin
Harry
living
living
living
living

Andrew Mason (m1 1816 IN) Clara Casey (m2 1820 KY) Susanna L. Laswell (1820 Crawford co. IN)> IN / KY / PA ?

There was an Andrew Mason living in Crawford County, Indiana in 1820. He had married Clara Casey in 1816 and I believe either her or Susanna L. Laswell, the wife he married in Kentucky in 1820 was the mother of my great great great grandmother, Mary Mason, who married Thomas Fowler in Crawford County, Indiana in 1837. She was born abt. 1819. The reason I believe this is becaise he is the only Mason living in Crawford County in the 1820 census. You may also look at the 1830 census. Good Luck and GPBWY.

I am interested in any info on an Andrew Mason who was married first to an unknown had a son named Stephen D. Mason b. 1818/1819 Indiana (who married Sarah "Sally" Buckley, He had previously been married to Elizabeth Rupert). I show that Andrew Mason was married to Malissa Whiteley. Their son, Stephen D. Mason had a son, Warren Lewis Mason b. 20 Spt 1858 IN d 17 Sep 1948 Foreman, Little River Co, AR. Warren's mother, Sarah Mason is shown later in AR with a daughter, Cenia Mason b. 1864 in IN). In Stephen D. Mason's first marriage to Elizabeth Rupert, they had children Thomas E. Mason b. Apr 1860, Phennie Mason (who married a Mr. Goble sp?), and another daughter who married a Mr. Martin. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? I am a descendant of Warren Lewis Mason and have hit a brick wall. Anyone with info please email me at bccorey50@yahoo.com

I am trying to find information on my Great Great Great Grandfather, Charles F. Mason (1840-1892) who lived in Claremont NH. Based on other information I've gathered via family and Ancestry.com (death certificate, marriage certificate and census records), I know the following;

Charles F. Mason
•	born 27 Apr 1841 in either Claremont NH or Croyden NH
•	married Catherine Sweeny (1841 Ireland - 1910 Claremont) on 01 Feb 1863 in Claremont NH
•	died 27 Apr 1892 in Claremont NH
•	father's name: Peter Mason
•	mother's name: "Fanny" Blood
I cannot find any census records from 1950 or 1860 with Peter and Fanny Mason with son Charles. But I did find 1850 and 1860 census records for Claremont NH where I think my Charles resided at the Jarvis Farm, in Russell Jarvis and his mother Clarisa's home. Charles would’ve been 9 and 19. There were no other Mason's living at this residence. Charles is not listed as a servant or worker so I am trying to uncover if this was him, WHY he was there.

I am also trying to find out more information about his parents, Peter Mason and Fanny Blood. Were they from NH also? Were they married? Did they have other children?

Any info would be greatly appreciated on Charles Mason or his parents Peter and "Fanny" (Blood) Mason

1860 Carlisle, IN/ W.C. Mason Meth Minister, wife Amanda

Hi. In looking at the 1860 Census from Carlisle, Indiana there is what appears to be the name W.C. Mason, wife Amanda and 1 yo son Augustus. There are also twin boys living with them named William J. and Henry B Davis age 17. They are the sons of my GGG grandfather John Wesley Davis who was Speaker of the House of Representatives, Commissioner to CHina, etc. He died in 1859 as did his wife Ann Hoover Davis. I am trying to figure out if the Mason's are relatives who took the boys in or friends or just what happened. There were many sibs and I don't have these people listed. Anyone who can help, your info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Cheryl
Joshua Mason (1823-1891) of Cambell Co., VA / "Mason Cemetery #4" aka "Gray Cemetery #2" Christian Co., KY

Just an update on my Research into Joshua. I still haven't found any reference to siblings or parents. However, I did manage to locate a local undertaker's record (Waller & Trice in Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky) that indicated his dates (15 Jul 1823 - 7 May 1891. Also this record indicated he was buried at "Mason Cemetery #4". Though this cemetery isn't located on any map, and had been lost, yesterday my Father and I set off on a little adventure and searched the broad area indicated as the location of the Cemtery. We did indeed find a cemetery (GPS +36° 50' 39.21", -87° 21' 55.75"), and referencing the surrounding graves linked with local historical records confirmed that it was Mason Cemetery #4 (Also known as Gray Cemetery #2). So while there is no engraved headstone for Joshua Mason, he is indeed buried there; likely marked by one of two fieldstone markers we found. I have added the marked graves and cemetery to the Find-A-Grave Website:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GScid=2...;

Again any information at all that anyone might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

Joshua Mason (1823-1891) (m1) Martha J Stanley (1823– abt. 1856), (m2) Elizabeth Tucker (1826-1915) VA>KY

I’ve been doing research on Joshua Mason (b.1827 in Campbell County, Virginia / d. Sometime After 1878 [eldest child’s birth]).

He lived in Appomattox, Va. Around 1850 with his 1st wife Martha J Stanley (b. 1823 – abt 1856). They had four children: son John William (1851-1820), daughter Virginia C (1855-?), son Thomas Franklin (1856-1936), and Arilla (1847-Before 1860) who appears to have died in her youth since she disappears from all census records.

Around 1856 Joshua and three children moved to Christian County, Kentucky where in 1862 he married Elizabeth Tucker (1826-1915) – not to be confused with Eliza Jane Tucker (1855-?), who was the illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Tucker before she met Joshua Mason.

Elizabeth and Joshua had four children: son Edward W (1863-1933), daughter Lea H (1865-?), son George W (1867-1920), and son Lindsey (1878).

I have a 1863 Civil War Draft Registration Record for Joshua (Class 2, 2nd Congressional District, Christian County, Kentucky). However, I’m not sure if he ever served or not as he was about 36 at the time.

I loose track of Joshua after the draft registration though, and can’t seem to find any more information about him.

Joshua Mason is my 3rd Great Grandfather, and I’d love to get more information about him if anyone has any leads. I would like to discover who his parents were especially since that’s information I haven’t uncovered yet, and tracing my direct paternal lineage heads a dead end at him because of that.
