This is a photograph taken at Debenham and Gabel in London, when it was Debenham and Gabel between 1884 and 1890. WWII Bombs destroyed the copies. The child must be between 5 and 7 and I believe due to the knickers it's a boy. It came to me from my father William John Mathews, Jr. who is descended from Henry Mathews b. 15 Jul 1801 Marazion, Cornwall, d. 11 Oct 1884 Middlesex, London, UK. Anyone who can help would be very much appreciated!
