We are searching for realitives and information of my great grandmother Frances Mayon who died in Melvilles La. on 3/5/47 and was the daughter of Marie Bourg and Clairville Mayon of Patterson La. Frances Mayon Johnson was born in the Patterson - Morgan City La. area but we are unsure of her birth date. She was married to Johnnie Johnson and had seven children, Earl Johnson, Orie Johnson, Emma Johnson Doherty, Edna Johnson Burleigh, Sophie Johnson Lutz b.1907, Fleix Johnson and a young boy who died of Meningitis before the age of 10.

i would like to hear from any mayons in the uk or europe. as far as i know my ancestors entered ireland in the mid 1800's (simon mayon). before this i cannot trace the name. mayon does not seem to be a particularly common name so i'd just like to see if someone could give me some info on it.

Searching for Emma Jean or Emogene Mayon. Married to Sylvester Varney sometime before 1883. Previous to that had been married to someone named McGoon(McGuhan?) and had a daughter named Lydia. Resided in VanBuren County, Michigan, Arlington Twp. It is really Sylvester I am looking for, according to the census data from MI she was born in MI and her parents were born in NY.
