Sorry, I got mixed up with the Richards...the marriage I was looking for was the son of that Richard and Jane, but did find that marriage also...Richard Mayor married Jane Forshaw in St Peter and St Paul, Ormskirk on 21 February, 1814...The Mayors seem to fancy the Forshaw women or so it seems...two in a row....I know this above information to be true...because my grt, grt, grt grandfather Thomas Forshaw's marriage certificate states Richard Mayor is his father...Thanks again...regards

I'm looking for Phyllis MUNDELL who posted on surname mssg. bd. for CORDIA / CORDIER (see below). We have relatives in common & I'm just trying to find her so we can share info on Henrietta Louise MAYOR & sp. George TURNTINE. If you know phyllis (she has changed email by now), please FORWARD this to her & I thank you as I've been unsuccessful so far. I may also post this same mssg. on the TURNTINE bd. hoping to make contact with her. I think george is a bro. to my ancestor, if i remember correctly. if you're there, please reply. or any others with ties to these folks.
I am not looking directly at my records, but it seems henrietta's sibling is also related to my TURNTINE's somehow. anyway, thanks for your time. tessie TURNTINE BYLUND
""Re: Cordia's (Cordier) of Missouri
mundellpe1 (View posts) Posted:	22 Nov 2001 3:14AM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames:
My husbands Grandmother was a granddaughter of Hypolite Cordia, and a daughter of Mary Louise Cordia, who was married to John Mayor.
Dear Alison,

Thanks for the swift reply. The Mayors are my mum's mum's side of the family. It sounds a bit indirect unless you see my family tree. I've put my family tree on Ancestry. Can you view it?(I'm not sure how this works). It's also on Genes Reunited.

If you can't view it, I could email it too you (it's a GEDCOM file) or post it two. Failing that, I could describe it in text.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Chris

I have a copy of a document entitled "Pedigree of Mrs. William Randall and Mrs. Edward Randall (formerly the Misses Sarah and Ann Mayor)." It is designated "Table II." The pedigree shows lines from William the Conquerer + Mathilda to Sarah (b. 22.4.1763) and Ann (8.10.1767). Unfortunately, it does not show the connection between the Randall line and William.

Does anyone recognize it? Would anyone like a JPG copy?

I do not know if there is any connection between my Mayor line and the Sarah and Ann.

Jim Mayor <jmayor@direcway.com>

Sorry for the delay. I was away. I have no known connection to the Richard Mayor in Rufford. The information came to me in a look-up on the Bolton Mailing List. I know nothing more than what was listed there. You might try posting a message to that list and see if anyone can supply more info. ENG-LAN-BOLTON-L@rootsweb.com

My family was from the same area, but I have no information yet to connect to Richard. The only info I have is listed below. Do you have any siblings for Richard. I am trying to match my Thomas Mayor b 1834 or his father, William b unknown, to more family, but there are many Thomases and Wms. .

1861 census at Chequerbent Lane in Westhoughton:
Richard Mayor (Mar) 71 Ag. Lab. Born Rufford, Lancs.

This is an index entry so the actual census may show more, but I don't have the 1861 census. That can also be requested on the above list.

With another Richard born in Rufford, I would think you might have a match there.

Looking for any one related to the Mayers of Delaware

I am looking for anyone related to my grandmother who was married to my grandfather Frederick Taylor and lived in Wilmington, Delaware where the hospital now stands. I do not know my grandmothers first name only that she died when my father Donald R. Taylor Sr. was only 7 yrs old. That would have been in 1944. I know nothing more of her but wish to know more and need to know what she was like and her sisters and brothers and mother and father and so on. I am compiling my family tree to write a novel on my family history. So if anyone can be of help please email me at grneyezwldwlf@yahoo.com and let me know of my heritage. Thank You to all.
