Stephen Maywood

I am attempting to find where my Great Grandfather Stephen disappeared to? Stephen was born in 1878 in Barkingside, Essex England. His parents were Stephen Maywood and Sarah Mack both born in Brarkingside Essex.

Through research and family history I have found that Stephen had two familes (that I am aware of!) at the same time and was not married to either woman (Gertrude Carloine Wagner & Nellie Springett - who was my Great Grandmother). It was 'believed' by both families that Stephen may have emmigrated to the USA in the early 1930's.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My Great Grand mother was Helen (Beglin) Maywood who lived in Detroit Michigan. I am searching for Maywood family members to exchange information with and also am searching for photographs of Maywood family members and decendants.

We are indeed second cousins. I remember your dad very well, although I had not seen him in years. I do have some information on the Maywoods ( the name was changed from Magwood years ago). They were originally from England and then they went to Ireland--then to Canada---then to Michigan and finally to Pennsylvania. You also have another second cousin who is researching, she is your aunt Vie's daughter, Claudia. I am writing down your phone numbers and I will try to call you sometime when you are home. hello yes my dad passed away 4 years ago and my aunt vie will be 94 next month my mother said that it we are second cousins my mothers name is mitzie that was was her nick name her real name was mary louise i am one of five boys if you would like you can call us me and my wife now live in the poconos i have

I have an aunt Vie (she will be 94 sometime at the end of this month). I also had an uncle Richard and my mother's name was Iris. I know some of the history of the family and would be glad to share with you if we find out we are related. I also had a cousin Richard, who passed away a year or two ago--could you be one of his children?/
