My gt-grandmother was Bridget McCafferty daughter of Charles McCafferty and Sarah Kerr or Carr.
Bridget was born about 1864 somewhere around Ramelton - Burt - St Johnston in Co Donegal. Perhaps near the Derry border.
She married Joseph Curran (son of Patrick Curran and Catherine Stevenson) at the R C chapel of Burt about 1883.
Bridget had 1 brother that I know of, James McCafferty born 1866 at Fannet Co Donegal, he married Elizabeth O'Donnel in Dunbartonshire Scotland.
Bridget's known sisters were Sarah who married Hugh Doherty/Docherty in Co Donegal and came over to Dumbarton with the rest of the McCaffertys, around 1888 - 90.
Other sisters were Roseann and Mary who also married in Dumbarton.
