Surnames: McCoy, McNamara
I am researching a young girl, Mary E. McCoy, listed on the 1880 Owen Co KY census, living in town of New Liberty. She is 13 years old, born c1867 KY. Her parents are Francis M. and Susan Ann McCoy. Siblings listed are: Johnston A., Jacob, Robert H. and Martha.
My grandfather, John McNamara, was born 30 Apr 1884 in Lexington KY and orphaned when a small child. He said his mother was MARY McCoy and his father was FRANK McNamara.
The Mary E. McCoy listed on this 1880 Owen Co KY census would have been about 16 or 17 years old in 1884. She may be John's mother, but I have found no marriage record in KY for her to a McNamara.
