Surnames: CHRISTISON, VANS AGNEW, McCULLOCH
Yes, I know a lot more about my family. It turned out that Catherine Vans Agnew CHRISTISON was, indeed, named for her father's boss. To my knowledge, I have no other connection to the VANS AGNEWs.
I see from the online IGI that your Gavin and Isobel had their children in Lanark. My family was in Wigtownshire for many generations before some of them migrated to the U.S. The ones who remained in Scotland tended to stay near Wigtownshire though I have found a few living relatives a bit farther afield. In other words, I don't think we have a connection. Nevertheless, thanks again for following up with me. You never know when new info might pay off :-)
