Hey dad it's me your daughter Shelby just to let you
know it's 1-24-09 and i just found this and i hope you know you spelt my middle name wrong. It's RAY and you haven't asked how i'm doing since the week before Christmas ortold me you loved me and missed me.I'm 11and your still away. Right now i'm crying because all my friends are probally speding the weekend w/ there dad while i'm emailing my on the computer because your not here right now your there. You've made me cry almost every night of my life because i don't have a dad.Chelsea thinks Chris is her dad.I'm not doing this to hurt your feelers but it feels like your doing it to me. I LOVE YOU.Please come home soon!!!!!!

My great grandad was one Austin McFatter who married Charlotte Moten. One of their Children was Lorenzo Dow McFatter, my granddad. You can find the family listed on the US Census, 1880, living in Vernon, Fl, Washington County, Holmes Valley.

George Mcfatter b1822

Looking for info on George Mcfatter the 1870 SC census lists him as 48 married to Nancy age 26. There is a boy Mal Quick age 15 in the household in Smithville Marlboro County SC. Nancy is the daughter of Aron & Eleanor Steen Quick. I believe Mal to be her brother Malaachi. I am interested in the children of George & Nancy and why he is not with her in the 1880 census. AUSTIN MCFATTER -- B. ABT. 1847 IN AL

Looking for names of parents of Austin McFatter, b. about 1847 in Alabama. He is in the 1860 Jackson County, Florida Census in the home of Bryant Pittman, but there is nothing to indicate the relationship to Pittman. This find leads to speculation that his mother may have been a Pittman. He married Charlotte Helen Horton, daughter of Josiah Horton. By 1880, he was in Washington County, Florida, where he died in 1927.

Any leads would be appreciated.

I forgot to answer your questions Yes we are cousins. My grandmother was your fathers sister. So you and my mom were cousins. My mom pasted away with alzheimers 3 months ago. So yes we are cousins. Your Aunt Merle lives here in Goldsboro. She is doing good. But all of your Dads brothers and sisters have past away. I was a McFatter before I got married. But it is complicated and i will have to explain it. Your aunt Leona, My mothers, mom, was a McFatter before she married. Now my Dad is a McFatter too. So we have a lot to look at. And I hope it is soon. Joyce

Happy St. Pattys day to you too. I did not realize we were so close,although I have not been to Goldsboro in years. Tell me who all lives there that might remember us. Is that where Aunt Merle and Uncle Chester lives? Who were you before you married,are we related,like cousins or something? I know that Uncle Chester died. But I was l4 when I left the Orphanage to come to live in Asheboro. I am now 58. All of us kids have longed over the years to learn more about our childhood.
Are you married and have children? I was divorced after 28 years of marriage and I have a son who is 33, and he is married and lives in Charlotte. He and his wife have a website
called Lauren and Friends, they are both musicians and she is now in stage 4 breast cancer.
I would love to hear all you know.

So good to hear from you,I am sorry I had not checked the ancestry for such a long time. I was in Burlington 2 weeks ago,my sister Linda lives there. I can see where you could get lost, its been so many years since I have lived there,I get lost too. My Aunt Sylvia and Uncle Jr. live in Haw River, and that is also where my Aunt Helen lives,plus various cousins.I sure do wish we could spend some time together, maybe you know more about my relatives than I do. lol

I was christened James Smith McPhater but my birth certificate reads McFatter.
There are quite a few McPhaters around yet,though not so many of my immediate family.

I married my long time love & mother of my children, Carrie K. Hiland on March 30th.2002. We now have a 3rd baby girl, Chelsea Jo. Briona Nicole(Nikki) just turned 8 this Dec.& Shelby Rae will be 6 next July. Carrie is a Pharmacy Tech. w/ Walgreens here in Midland,Tx. & I just started online stores. Sure miss Uvalde,Tx. alot but we're happy where we're at. Maybe someday we'll get back to the Hill Country.

goldsboro,nc, area and the virginia area. If you have any info on them i would appreciate it.

My father was James Luther McFatter and i think he was born in Smithfield,N.C. I have a lot of cousins that live in the Goldsboro area and some I think in Virginia. My grandmother was Ophelia Blackman McFatter Born: Nov.4,l884 and died March 20,l935. My grandfather was also named James McFatter born Oct. l4,l884 and died Oct. 10,l950. If you have any further info on them i would appreciate it. I cant seem to find anything out about my family heritage.

Replying to your inquiry. I was born in Norfolk, Va. in '61.My Grandfather is from Johnston County (Brogden) near Smithfield, NC. His name was Molton Avery and my Grandmother was Katie Jones. I am trying to findout information on an ancester named Archibald McFatter born: Approx. 1720 (?) Been told that he got land in North Carolina in 1741 and died 1815.

possibly arrived in North carolina from Scotland in 1739.

Married dorothy Sims.
