The McPhees are not my family but I have an interest since my daughter married a McPhee. I have managed to trace this family to an Archibald McPhee and Margaret Graham of Scotland, mind you I do not have a great deal of information and most of it is through the internet.

The reason for my reply was the mention of "...worked in a lumber milling & distribution company" in your e-mail.

There is a book called "The History of Luce County". On page 270 "... In 1903 Cummings and McPhee site of McPhees Landing ...".

Page 567 mention of J C Foster and a Malcolm McPhee.
