I am looking for decendents of two bothers, William Thomas b. 1859 and John L b. 1861. I believe that the Meade family buried in Bethel Cemetery are all from these brothers. William Thomas for certain. I would like to hear from anyone whose Meade family have been around Buchanan Co., Missouri for that long. William was married to Josephine Cross, an old time family in Missouri and John was married to woman named Sarah J.-- These men were the sons of Isacc (Iszak) Meade and Sarah Woolery.

Josephine Amanda Cross. I am actually from the Yeakley/Dittemore family. They are one in the same kinda, we share a common grandmother way up the tree. I tried to use your email but it wouldn't go through. Anyway,I have always been interested in my family tree. John Lester is my grandfater. He is buried in Bethel Cemetary along with my grandmother Maude Mae. I know my grandfather had 2 sisters that ran a Mission in the Kansas City area. He may have had other siblings, I'd have to look that up. His dad was John Leander and mother was Sarah Jane. My dad's cousin and husband do a lot of research on the family tree and have put together a wonderful scrapbook of info. What kind of info are you looking for? What motivates you to do research? I enjoy the stories of my ancestors. I look forward to hearing from you and helping in your research as much as I can.

Hi Cindy,
I am connected to the Cross family. Acutually I think it is impossible to do any family in Buchanan Co, without doing pretty much all of them. They just are all connected. I have 23 Meades in my files. You just never know how far down the line they were come together with more family. Along with the Meade family of William Meade, there were Kelings they ran into the Yeakley and Dittemore families. Actually the Yeakley and Dittemore were more or less the same as we all shared a common grandmother. I don't know just what either of us want but I do want to know if you are working on the entire family? They are all buried at Bethel. If you want to go to the messsage board, type in Dittemore and go to a message by Cindy Marcell. She has them all listed on and photo's of the gravestones in Bethel. You can get there thru this message. I was able to find John Leander's family back to his great grandfather. Will mail anything you want.
