Just wanting some family history about my last name? My grandfather was Manuel Medellin, married to my grandmother Carmen Rodriguez. They resided in Galveston until their passing. He didn't speak of family other than his mother Mariana Cortez, daughter of Gregorio Cortez. I found items from her funeral and on her memory cards her name was Mariana Asocar Cortez??? I was about a year old when she passed, but i have only one picture of her. When my grandfather Manuel died a cousin from his side showed up named George Cortez from Houston. We have not seen him again??? Any information would be great? Any information i have i don't mind sharing about other family? Even the link to Mr Gregorio Cortez. I only know of him through the information that i have read about him! anyhow, just wanna know.... could we be related??

My grandfather Antonio Medellin was born June 13, 1874 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and passed away in 1958 in Ft Worth, Texas. My Grandmother Francisca "Mama Pancha" Montelongo Medellin supposedly was also from San Luis Potosi.
We are at this time researching for more information on this side of our family for our family reunion in June.
We have heard he had brothers, but don't know any names at this time.

I would very much appreciate if the picture of my daughter's headstone is not used for anyone's personal reference. If any one in my family or her father's family would like a picture of her headstone I will gladly give them one. If not they are always welcome to visit her at the cemetery. I feel very offended that my daughter's headstone has been photographed by someone outside of my family and without my permission.

"Papa" Manuel Medellin -- Junio 17, 1870 to Dec. 5, 1921
"Mamma" Facunda Medellin -- Junio 22, 1869 to Jun. 10, 1923.

Geronimo is a tiny town, close to San Marcos to the north and Seguin to the south. It is in Guadalupe County.

Jose Andres Medellin is the father of my grandfather, he was married with Pilar Ocadiz. I'm not shure if she is your great grandmother, because I didn't know that he had family on TX.

Gumercindo Medellin m. Librada Lopez and they lived in Seguin, Texas. Their children were: Gorgonio, Vicente, Gil, Tomas, Victorio, Juania (m. Paredes), Maria M., Herminia M. (m. Valdez). They later moved to Laredo, Texas.

There's a Joe Medellin that I know of... We both went to high school together ... Waltrip High School... last time I heard from him he lived in Houston and so did his family ... unfortunatelly, he is now in prison for murder ... his family still resides in Houston, Texas ... brother vinny and also a sister I can't remember his name ... father's name also Joe and of course Medellin.... you might want to look them up

My great grandfather was Jesus Medellin (born 1879), Laredo, Tx. My great grandmother was Timotea Farias, she was born in Lamposas, Mexico in 1883, died I think in 1922 in Laredo Tx. I believe she is buried in the old San Fernando Cemetery in San Antonio. They married and lived in Laredo, Tx. They had I think 8 children, I only know the names of Jesusa (my grandmother born 1906), Cecelia (deceased) and Anita(don't know if she is still alive). My grand mother Jesusa married my grandfather Alonso Noriega in San Antonio, Tx in 1922. They moved to California I think in 1930-35. Both my grandparents are deceased. My father is Frank M. Noriega, one of 12 children. I am the second oldest daughter of 5 children. I am trying to trace the family info on both my great grandparents of my dad Frank Noriega.

I have no info on my grandfather. all I know is the info. I got from my father's death certificate. And as you know I did'nt know him either. Do you think that we're related in some way. All of your info sounds very interresting. I'll see if I can find out anything else, but I've lost contact with the 2 aunts that I did meet. They've moved since then. And I wrote my father's family through the military, but they did not contact me. I'm at the point of quitting. Thanks for the inspiration! What i do know is that my father did not know his biological father ither, he was adopted by his step-father. And I know that his step father has a barbor shop in San Antonio, and passed away a few of years ago. I will continue my search. Hopefully this info will shed light for you.

Parents were Gregoria Herrerra from san louis potocen (not sure of spelling) mexico. Lucio Medellin from Matewalla Mexico.
children were Alberto Medellin born in matewalla (14 children?),
Clemente Medellin born ni Minera tx (7 children), Petra Medellin (my great grandmother) minera tx, and Maria Medellin born FortWest, tx (?) i belive she married Inocencio (15 children).
Lucio's mother was Erminia Jumenez (again not sure of spelling)
Gregoria's mother was Ecedoria Rivera(spelling?)

Looking for family. Father's name was Roberto Cevallos Medellin, his mother Eudelia Cevallos & father Jesus E. Medellin. His widow's name is Dominga Medellin, and her children are: Lupe Ramirez, Mauricia? Garcia, and Linda Joe Ruiz, also there is another son by the name of Roberto Medellin..just like my older brother. I kow now that they laid him down to rest at Hurley Cemetery in Pleasington, then he was transferred to the military base- Fort Sam Houston in S.A.. I hope to find my siblings soon, if not I hope that ya'll find me soon!!!

Monica, My Mother is looking for her Birth Mother. My Mother was born October 6, 1945 in the Holly Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah. She was adopted by the Atkinson family a few days later and wore a bracelet home from the hospital with the name Madellin on it.

Her birth records have been sealed and any information you can give us would be appreciated. I still have yet to find a Medellin in the State of Utah, let alone anyone who knows a Medellin who spent any time in Utah in the 40's.

Her birth name was Medellin, her adoptive or give name is Atkinson and she was born in Salt Lake City Oct. 6, 1945 and adopted a few days later from Holly Cross Hospital.

That is all we know.

The only information I have is that my mother was born in Salt Lake City on October 6, 1945. She was adopted a few days later, the bracelet she wore home from the hospital had the name Medellin on it. The birth records have been sealed. That's all we have.

do you knoe if your family is related to mine? Roberto Cevallos Medellin was my father's name, his mother was Eudelia Cevallos, his father is unknown. They are both deceased.
