I also am looking for information about Lewis Medford. He was my Grandfather. I am Donnie the son of Woodrow Medford. Lucy died giving birth to Woodrow in 1913. Lewis was born in 1856.
I believe he lived in arkansas with Lilly Stennit his daughter. If you have anymore information please contact me.

I am Clinton Medford's grandaughter. I will supply the information that you need. Please ask, I can go to Zion Hill cemetary and see the date that he died. I remember that he died when I was a child, I am now 53. Susie Cochran is my grandmother on my father's side. Sadly, all are dead. I never knew them.

I have many Medford names on My Family Tree but I don't have Earl Lawrence. If I knew who is Father was I may be able to tie them into my line of Medfords. There is several lines of Medfords in Texas and Oklahoma that originate from a different line than mine. It will be interesting to see though if you can give me the Fathers name of Earl Lawrence. I should be ablt to backtrack them on the census.

My grandmother's name is Morjorie but she married into the Medford's. - she is originally a Martin. My grandfather is the Medford, his name was Earl Lawrence Medford. I will try to dig up some more information for you. Thanks.

What are the names of your Grandparents. My Mom was a Medford so I am following that family line in the Family Tree. Some of the Medfords in my line lived and died in Wichita Falls. It tweaked my interest with the information that your Grandparents lived in Wichita Falls. Let me know their names and we may get the familiy linked together.

Thanks so much for your questions. I am new to all this so you will have to bear with me. My granparents are Lawrence Raymon Medford and Morjorie Medford from Northern Texas. To be exact my grandfather is from Witchita Falls, TX and my grandmother is from Marrietta, TX. I know my grandfather had a brother named Joe (we called him "Uncle Joe") and I have his middle name. My father is David Joe Medford, Sr., and my mother is Mari Therese Trainor. My father was born in San Luis Obispo, CA, while my mother is from Australia. I don't have a lot of contact with my dad's side of the family and I know of no records of my relatives on that side as my grandparents are both deceased. I hope this may help you a little bit. A presentation! That would be neat. I am not a Medford, but I am related by my great great aunt, Sallie M. (Gardner) Medford who married Z.H. Medford Jr. I think it is so cool that the Medfords are still there. My family left when my great grandfather got sick around 1908. They had to move to New Mexico. Apparently he was so sick he had to sleep outside. Not sure what he had. He got better, otherwise I would not be here. I am the last of that Gardner line. Anyways, if you come across anything of Sallie or her side of the family, I would appreciate any info or emailed pictures. If you have pictures of her with unidentified people perhaps I can help since I have some older pictures of John W., her brother.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather.

Albert Russell Medford (1892-1959). Ohio.
His father was Charles Medford 10/19/1852-11/26/1920, Ohio.
His mother was Emma C. Hartman 9/29/1868-4/9/1936, Ohio.

He was married to my great grandmother Bernice Burgeson Medford. I have found census records on him, but was hoping to find more information on his parents and grandparents.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In searching for more information on her parents, I came across your post. I believe that Augusta Edna Medford is the daughter of Albert Russell Medford & Cora Ellen Stump. Hope this helps.

I think Richard Elbert Medford was my great grandfather. The one I know of was born in Alabama and moved to texas and married a Emma Jenkins Walker. I know my great grandmother died early and he remarried. My grandmother was Myrtle Medford born 12-20-1894. Please let me know if this is the same person

Today has been a groundbreaking day for us involved in Medford Genealogy research, thanks to Jonathan Medford and his DNA Project. Since we are all undoubtedly excited about the early findings of his study, I thought I would
throw in a little more excitement. After all, since his news this afternoon, I have been completely distracted and had to work on this since I have been wanting to do this for the last five years.

I have found a death record for Susie and a majority of their children in Parker Co., Tx. but have been unable to find a death record for Clinton which is specifically what I need to attach him to the correct parents as I know he belongs in our family group. ETS.C. Claude Stephen Medford, U.S. Navy (Retired), 55, Dover, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Kentucky Lake.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Medford residence with Randy Miller officiating.

The remains are to be cremated.

Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born May 5, 1951 in Waynesville, North Carolina, he was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Shelton Mahfet; father, Claude Avery Medford; two brothers, Calvin Glen Medford and Rex Matthew Medford. He is survived by his wife, Joleen Medford; six children, Carolyn Renea Hipps, Stephen Richard Medford, Samuel Paul Medford, Heidi Mae Rutig, Jessica Marlene Medford, and Marissa Beth Medford; brothers, James Messer, Daniel Terry Medford, Keith Lamar Medford, and Grady Phillip Medford; sister, Sheila Marie Every; and eight grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Justin, Angelina, Stephen, Lily, Cayne and Destiny.

He began service to his country in The United States Navy in 1977, serving in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Steve proudly served on the USS Sierra (AD-18), USS Joseph Hewes (FF-1078), USS Lasalle (AGF-13) and the USS Mount Baker (AE-34). He retired in 1997.

He was the Service Manager at Sunbelt Rentals from 2001-2007. He played mandolin and sang at Faxon Baptist Church, Big Sandy. He was a devoted husband, compassionate father and best friend to many.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Steve Medford Search and Rescue Fund (SMSR) at any Farmers and Merchants Bank. Donations are for training, education and equipment for local First Responders.

It appears that neither Zachariah & Elizabeth Medford's son John (bc 1860) nor James (bc 1862) survived Zachariah (d. 1874).

I thought Kate, 26, in 1870 was Catherine who was 16 in 1860. John, Mary, Susan, Robert, William are the same children's names in the same order of birth, but the some of the ages off a few years.

Here is the death notice for Susan Medford on the Tippah County website. Notice she died in Corinth.
MEDFORD, MRS. SUSAN (120915) died today at Corinth/ would be 97 next Feb. 18/ buried at Ebenezer near Chalybeate/ leaves 3 daughters and 2 sons/ one daughter is Mrs. Henry Jackson of Corinth/ grandson is H. N. Briley of Corinth.
