Looking for Medway

All I can find is a Francis Medway, born 1867 (in England?) He had a brother and 2 sisters. Any info would be appreciated.

His son's name: Francis Willard Medway 1901-1989 born in Wauwatosa, Wisc. married to Laura Langdon Phillips 1900-1992

Hi everyone, as you can see my surmame is 'MEDWAY.' I don't know if this information will help you all in any way but who knows. Well my Medway family was living in Bridgend, Wales,United kingdom. My father's name was Clifford A. Medway. I have started the family tree for the forth time and a bit late in life. I find as I looked at my fathers family that his mother maiden name was 'BROTHERS.' Since then I have not got very far with it, only that her name started with the letter A. I too would love to know what the 'A' stood for and if she was my grandmother.

me partners maiden name is medway from london...her father was one of 7 boys a and girls born in the 1910/ 1920
their are only two remaining which is edith and james medway who are both in their 80's

William & Sarah are my gggprts also and have spoken to Ruth about them.My ggprts were Richard M and Louisa Harris.
Yesterday I was researching your namesake, Stanley, son on William/Anna Cole, who died in the 1st World War. Unfortunately his records were destroyed in a blaze in the 2nd WW.
Found some details but haven't been able to pinpoint his birth cert.
Who was your gfthr/mthr?

He married an Augusta Jane Keen (nee Medway) (at Oldchurch St Pancras, London 14 Mar 1852). There is an obvious connection with Augusta Jane Keen Medway (b 1862 Paddington) who married William Austen (see Hazel's comments) Could the earlier Augusta be the later's godmother. Is Augusta senior the wife of William Medways's brother Joseph Wood Medway perhaps.

Hi, I'm from a different branch of the Medways. Our lot didn't get here until the 1920's. Settled on the NSW South Coast around the Bermagui area. Have the 'older' Australian Medways ever been to the 'town' of Medway on the Southern Highlands? Rather near Moss Vale. Not much there, but nice to have your photo taken under it.

Medways of Devon & Dorset

My ancestor was Maria Medway born in Newton Abbot, Devon 1810, she possibly had a brother George born about 1814.

The parents were possibly William & Elizabeth. Maria's mother was Elizabeth and George's father was William. If Maria & George are not siblings then they were definitely related.

By 1818 they had moved to Poole, in Dorset. Where both Maria & George married and moved to Southampton & Salisbury respectively.

Does anyone hane any connections to this family?

I am interested on any information on Maria Medway born abt 1810 Newton Abbot, Devon? She may have been christened 22 Jun 1818 Saint James, Poole, Dorset. She definitely married Henry Riggs 15 Apr 1832 Saint James, Poole.

They had a son Henry William Charles christened 22 Oct 1834 Saint James, Poole and another son Albert Thomas born 16 Jun 1844 Saint Mary, Southhampton.

I am willing to share any information.

Hi, My name is Taleah Medway i am 14 and my fathers name is Robert Medway and he came from a family of 7 children and their father was called Henry James Medway. My Uncle made a family tree of our side of the Medway family so to speak from the first Medway recorded which was in 1302. That was from Ashurst Kent England and around 1924. In 1924 there was a William Medway who was recorded living in Garway Dalton N.S.W Australia. I'm not sure but that small amount of information might help somebody. Thank you

Hi Sarah My GG Grandparents werefrom Coombe St Nicholas Sarah and William Medway they had 10 children. My Grandfather, Fredrick Medway was brought up by them from the age of about 8. Have you any information. If you think there is a connection I have a lot more. Ruth

I am looking for information on my gg grandparents. My gg grandmother was a Medway who married a Hellman. They had at least one son, Borris Hellman b. 8/25/1884. Ruth, not sure if there is a connection, the only, so far Medway I have is a Matthew Thomas born about 1850 in Hamworthy Dorset. I think members of the family moved up to london, but there could be a connection. He married Jane Marie Shenton who came from Jersey in the Channel Islands.

My GG Grandfather William Medway was born 1821 and died Jan 21st 1891. He was married to Sarah Medway. in the 1880's they were living near Coombe St Nicholas, Somerset. They had 10 children 1 was William Medway my G Grandfather who was born in 1853 and died in 1917. Is this connected to you in any way.
