Theodore Meissen and his wife Anna Katherine Scmitz settled in New Munster, WI. Theodore died on April 21, 1884 and was buried in New Munster. Anna Katherine then lived with her daughter in McHenry, IL. She died on April 27, 1910 and was buried in McHenry. They had eleven children: Henry, William, Catherine, Elizabeth, John, Bernard, Theodore, August, Herman, Christine, George.

I a looking for any information on Theodore Meissen who was Married to Katherine or an Anna Schmietz and immigrated to the U.S. to Kenosha Wisconsin. They had a son John who moved to Iowa in the early 1860s. Any info on Theodore or his wife would greatly be appreciated.

My g/mother Estelle Patten b 1867 or 1871, d. 1921 dau of Benoni and Margaret Patten, had a sister Ina. Estelle married Philip Meissen 4Nov1897 in Compton, CA. She was a schoolteacher - artist. What was Margaret's maiden name and who did Ina marry? Any other siblings?
