I am looking for an old friend, Odette Mels, who used to live on Eleven Mile road in Roseville, Michigan. I think her brother's name was Robert. Does anyone know where she is.

My great great grandfather HERMAN left HAMBURG/Germany when he was 9 years old in 1870. His mother "WILHELMINE HARTWIG, his father in law HERMAN QUANZ and his brother Ludwig were with him. If you have any information or documents about them please let me know.

"MRS. EDNA MELS - Mrs. Edna Mary Mels, 64, of 8919 Ola Ave., died at her residence Monday morning. She was a native of New York and had been a resident of Tampa for one year. Survivors are her husband, Edward Mels, Tampa, and a brother, Eugene Pape, New Hyde Park, L. I., N. Y."

Also, funeral notice: "MELS, MRS. EDNA MARY - The remains of Mrs. Edna Mary Mels, 64, resident of 8919 Ola Ave., who passe away at her residence Monday morning, will be sent Saturday at noon to New York City for funeral services and interment in the Lutheran Cemetery. Local arrangements are in charge of Wilson Sammon Company Funeral Home."

Looking for information concerning Edgar (or Edward) Young MELS, probably deceased at this time. May have other children than Son RObert (Me) and daughter (Barbara). If you have any information please contact me at my e mail address. It is believed that he came from a Boston family to New York. May have served in WW2 in supply (USArmy or Army Airforce.)
