Does anyone have any information about these 2? All I have is they were bron around 1870. They had a son by the name of Louis Flores Menchaca born 6/21/1920 in Texas. I'm trying to see where the Menchaca name comes from..

I am looking for a Debbie Menchaca that came from Denver with her Mom back in 1983 to live with her Grandfather who got relocated there to work in a maintenance hub of an airline. Can anyone help me find her? Though not her biological father, I was the only "Daddy" she new until she moved away. Over the years I lost touch, and now that I am getting older I wish to get back in touch and apologize for not having more integrity and determination to stay in her life and help her grow up. Please her me re-connect with my "Debbie-do".

My grand mother is 91 year old is from muzquiz, coahuila.
Her name is Maria Cristina Jimenez Rivera and was born in 1919.
She told me that Modesta Espinosa Jimenez was her aunt.
Her father was Cornelio Jimenez Espinoza and he always lived at Muzquiz

here are the names of Cornelio's sons and daugthers:
the list is from oldest to youngest
1.-Gilberto Jimenez Rivera (dead)
2.-Beatriz Jimenez Rivera (dead)
3.-Carmen Jimenez Rivera (dead)
4.-Reynaldo Jimenez Rivera (he died last year at the age of 95 year old at Muzquiz, Coahuila)
5.-Velia Jimenez Rivera (dead)
6.-Cornelio Jimenez Rivera (dead)
7.-Maria Cristina (my grandmother is the last alive)
8.-Juventino (dead)

Did your father have a brother named Jesus or Adres Menchaca? My great grandfather was killed when my grandfather was only about four year's old,so I don't have too much information about him.Only that he was from,Cahuila,Mexico. And his Uncle's name was Adres.My father was tall very light complexion and green eyes,and his Dad was too.

You may contact me at alc246@juno.com. I am not a Maltos descendent as far as I currently know, but I have seen them many times in my research and have some land documents from Jimenez, Coahuila with their names handwritten on the margins.
I am inteersted in your Maltos lines, if you are willing to share. I have another distant relative from Jimenez who also has run across them and we have discussed them.

Hello, I would like to be in contact with Martie, the person who had written about the Maltos family in a film, I'm descendent of Rudencindo Maltos, Miguel Maltos, the other one who is in that film is Rudencindo's father.

If you need more information several people we have a huge tree, here appears Jesus Maltos, son of Miguel Maltos, who has near to 650 descendents, some of them are Menchaca, and we have all the information about those 650 people

I am daughter of santana menchaca which was half brother to your greatgrandmother Sarah.I did not know her full name,only that she married Amador Garcia.What was her full name?They say her brother Thomas died when he was 18 yrs old.In the census it shows a brother named Jesus as well.Alfonso was raised by his uncle Bernadino & Susana Olivarez(sister of Soledad ) After Soledad remarried to Nicolas Garcia.And she had children from Nicolas Garcia.So far i have only found one,named Catrina Garcia Longoria.I have kept in touch with Sarah Henry which was raised by Sarah Garcia now and then.How are you related to her?

In our family line under jose rafael menchaca and ana sandoval they had a son francisco, cannot confirm where he was born, but the whole family lived in candela, coahuila mexico. Many records in candela were burned during the revolution. good luck, and happy hunting.

From my research, it came from the Canary Islands and the spelling changed from Manchaca to Menchaca. Before the Canary Islands there several Manchaca's from Northern Africa with the Manchaca spelling.

Well... my father knows a little bit of our family. But I can Tell you that I´m Cassias (Maria Fernanda Cassias). We live in south of Brasil. There is a strange fact in our family. I think that was about my grand, grand, grand... heheh father. He changed his name from "ferreira da cruz" para "ato de cassias" with no reason.

DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in the vicinity of Baghdad, Iraq, from injuries sustained on or about June 16. Both soldiers were previously listed as Duty Status – Whereabouts Unknown. Their unit came under enemy small-arms fire while manning a checkpoint during combat operations, and both soldiers were taken by enemy forces. Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

Hey I think we are all in the same boat. I was also curious to see that so many Menchaca's existed. I believe my grandmother was either married or just had a daughter with my grandfather Miguel Menchaca my grandmother's name is Juana Barron and my mom's name was Rosa Menchaca. My mother ws born in Lerdo, DuRANGO. wow this is unexpected and unfortunate for the soldier that passed away in Iraq.
