Judy: I think we are related to the same Menees family regarding Ireland/Virginia. Would you allow me to look at your tree if on Ancestry? Mine is part of the Russell family tree - my father is Benjamin William Menees b.1925.

I have a copy of Family ties from 1995- Marjorie menees WA. editor was janet Mckenney MD. Patricia Charboneau TX. Archivist was Oleen Pollard Ky- (I was informed she is passed away)
Mcnees Archivist: Susan thompson TN. ,Doris Peavler OK. Dorothy Menees TN. and Eileen Menees CA are the officers and directors...I would be happy to help look something up..I am searching for my Great grandfather Robert Frank Menees- His birth place ,date and parents particularly

I am looking for information on my great grandfather Robert Frank Menees. He died in 1899. His widow died in 1901 leaving three children. My grandfather was among them. We can find nothing on his birth place or parents. If you happen upon some information please feel free to pass it on... Thanks

My mother in law Marjorie Menees was one of the publishers of Family Ties - her email is menees@net-nw.com and she could tell you if this is part of your family. From my understanding all Menees names come from the same line but she has the full family line. I hope this will be of help to you. She is great about sharing information and has been the one that has helped me with my research. She is 89 years of age but still sharp as a tack!

Hello,

I am related to the Menees family through my paternal great-grandmother - Ollie Menees of Anna, IL (b. 1888, d. 1959 and the daughter of Commodore Perry Menees and Rebecca Jane Glasco).

I have a booklet written by June Menees Meyer, "The Meneeses in Little Egypt." In her introduction, Mrs. Meyer mentions two publications, "Menees Family Heritage Book" and a magazine called "Family Ties."

I am interested in learning more about this book and magazine and where I can obtain copies. Any ideas?

Also, if anyone is interested in exchanging information about the Menees family, I would love to correspond with you!

1 Sarah Ann born abt. 1825 in Tn.
2 George Washington born abt 1830
3 Matthew Benjamin born abt 1837
4 Henry R. born abt 1838
5 Mary Angeline born Oct. 18,1844 In Jefferson Co., IL

There were probably other children these are all that I am sure off.

Additionally decendents of Bill McNeese’s Quaker group, The Brothers Three, McNeese>Menees, John McNeese of Pa, etc. could be informative.

Orville Duncan (Dude), born in Nov 25, 1909
Charlie L.(Shorty) born Jan. 1,1917.All were born inHattieville, Ark. and they moved to Calif.and raised their familes there. Uncle Ed had several children and sons, Uncle Dude had only 3 daughters, and Uncle Shorty has only 1 girl by his first wife. My father Is Walter Issac Menees and raised his family in Oklahoma.Ed and Dude are deceased as is my father. Dont remember any of Uncle Dude's children's names. I could find out maybe.....goldie

Looking for Ralph Menees/mennes, who knew Lorraine Yates in the 1940's, in or near San Francisco,CA.
I am searching for any relatives. I was born on or about Sept.15, 1945 in San Francisco
and believe Lorraine and Ralph might be my birth parents.
