I'm Sandra Lee Mestey, daughter of Hector Juan Mestey, my siblings are Hector Juan Mestey Jr. and Eileen Mestey. My mother was Elia Sarah Sanchez. My name is Nairim Mestre and I was born in Cuba and came to Florida when I was younger because we have some family here. John Mestre could have been born in Cuba, went to NY and then lived in Florida with his family that could have been related to my relatives.

This is all guesswork of course! But it seems like a possibility. Do you know what city John Mestre was born in? I was born in Havana and lived in Camaguay too.

Hey there, Alvaro. My names Nairim Mestre and I was born in Havana, Cuba. I've been trying to look up the origin of my name to see if I've got any other family members from somewhere else besides Cuba. I don't know an Arsenio Mestre, I actually don't know much about my family but I could ask my parents and grandparents for you. My moms maiden name is Cossio, and my grandmothers is Milian. I don't know if that would ring any bells for you. Also, I'm from Miami. There's a whole clan of Mestre's here. I have around like three uncles and an aunt who are all Mestre and a few cousins too. But yeah, that's all I've got for now. I'll try to find out more information for you though.

Alonso Mestey was my father's cousin or uncle. I was always confused about this because Felix Mestey was my Father's
uncle and I didn't know what Alonso's relationship was to
Felix.We are related. There was only one Mestey fam. They
all came from Garochales. I was there recently and there are some cousins that get together once a year. The one I saw lives in Florida, which is right next to Garochales. I
am Emiliano's daughtr. There are 4 of us left. Please let me know more about where you live and if you know any other

My understanding, which could B only partially correct/complete, is that we R descendants from a town in Northern Italy, directly adjacent/north of Venice called Mestre [U can find it on the map easily]. From there we migrated all over the world as i have found Mestre's as far away as Australia.

I also always Blieved that we should ALL B related but i've never researched the family tree and am finding out more and more how common the name can B in some places or, i should say, how varied the countries/regions where people w/ the Mestre name can B.

My branch is from Humacao, PR.

I try to now the genealogy of my grandmother Micaela Mestre. I know that her father is Antonio Mestre and his born in Spain, Cataluña, Palmas de Mallorca since 1880 at 1895.
I'm living in Uruguay, South America, and I try to get the residence in Spain.
