WEBB PASTOR&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;SHE RECEIVED HER EDUCATION IN ALABAMA &amp;amp; COMPLETED ADDITONAL EDUCATIONIN THE  Oakland County School System  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Rebecca accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and began her Christian journey at the First Baptist Church in Florala, Alabama under the pastorate of the late Rev. Hale.    &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In 1943 Rebecca and her husband moved to Detroit, Michigan.  In the early months of 1944 they moved to Ferndale, Michigan where she joined the New Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Pastor C. C. Bates.  She was a faithful member of New Mt. Vernon until her health prevented her regular attendance. During the early years of her Christian journey at New Mt. Vernon she participated with the Mission, the Senior Choir, the Baptist Training Union and the Youth Department. She worked unrelenting to rear her children in the fear and admonition of the Lord and leaves behind a great legacy of love and an example of unmoveable, steadfast faith in the power of God. "Ma", as she was so lovingly called by all who knew her, will be sorely missed by all  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Rebecca was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Ohio, Indiana and Michigan State Vocal Singing Association, the Detroit Vocal Singing Union, the Mt. Vernon Vocal Singers, and the Democratic Club of Royal Oak Township.  She was also a retired employee of the Oak Park School District  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren; three goddaughters: Josephine Johnson, Emma Morris and Claudette Manners; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with a multitude of friends.  Her most repeated passage of Scripture: "I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help", Psalm 121&lt;br&gt;</description>
