Hi Mary;

Thanks for reading and replying to my post. I don't think the Moller/Moeller/Steinmars I am researching lived in the USA at any time. I have their deaths as occurring in Germany.

You may want to search public family trees on this site with for Valentine or Valentin, first name, and Moller or Moeller last name. There are quite a few Valentine Mollers.

I don't see a connection in my notes with Hugo or Margaret Moeller or with a Valentine Moller as the father of the Karl Moller born 14 Apr 1903 in Kassel I am researching is Julius Moller born 17 Apr 1880 in Ziegenhain (today's Schwalmstadt) in Germany.

If I come across any information that may be helpful to you I will pass it on in future. Good luck and thanks again for your offer to help. Miss Emmy
Thank you for your message. I did this tree for my dear friend Tommy Moeller and we had the hardest time with Theresa for some reason. I will locate his tree and would be happy to share anything I have if I kept the tree. I know I printed it out and gave it to Tommy. Tommy didn't know his Grandfather Gus Moeller and I was able to find an old photo of him which thrilled Tommy. My daughter is a Saathoff and I found connections to the Moeller's as well. Turned out Tommy is a distant cousin to my daughter. That was amazing to find out but then they all lived in Medina County back then and most of them married in to each others families. I will check and see what I have. I know I did a lot of research and found a lot for him. He knew very little of his family tree.

Hello,
Theresa Ann Haller was my great grand aunt. I discovered the Moeller connection last year I think, but as per the date of your message that I found, I'm about 6 years late. I think what helped me trace this family is that I found an obit for my GG Grandfather that mentioned a survivor named Mrs. Gus Moeller. If you think there's anything further we can share at this point, please let me know. I did find that Gus's father was Carl Moeller but didn't find who his mother was.

I am looking for family of Friedericka Christiane Auguste Moeller from Germany. On her marriage record to Carl Loitz, from Vaschvitz, Kreis Ruegen, it states that she was born 22 Oct 1854 in Nuenkirchen and was living in Thessinvitz Kreis Ruegen. Her parents are Laborer, Christoph Moeller and wife, Sophie Bethmann of Tessinvitz.

When she died her obituary said she leaves one sister and 4 brothers, two of whom are in America. One of the Brothers is August Moeller born about 1850 in Germany. I have his picture and that is what it says on the back.

Hello!

I am looking for my great grandmother’s brother, Karl Moeller, who immigrated from Germany around 1882, along with his wife, Minnie (Gieselmann) Moeller and a young son, Karl Heinrich (you call him Charlie). I just discovered this discussion thread, and believe your Karl Moeller may be my great grandmother’s brother. Names and dates from your guy are a match to mine. Here’s what I know about my Karl Moeller:

1.	Karl was born 20 Aug 1855 in Nammen, Minden, Westphalen, Germany.

2.	His father was Karl Heinrich (Henry) Moeller, born 27 Oct 1814 in Nammen, died 13 May 1889 in Easton Township, Leavenworth County, KS. Henry’s father was Ernst W. Moeller.

3.	His mother was Christine Margarete Nolting, born 30 Aug 1821 in Nammen, died 7 Aug 1905 in Easton Township, Leavenworth County, KS. Christine’s father was Wilhelm Nolting.

4.	Karl was the 4th child of Henry and Christine Moeller. Their children were:

Karl Heinrich (Henry), born 9 Jul 1845 in Nammen, died 17 Feb 1923 in Wellington, Larimer, Colorado.

Christine, born 1849 in Nammen, died Feb 1925 in Germany.

Ernest Friedrich (Fred), born 29 Jul 1853 in Nammen, died 21 Jan 1939 in Easton Township, Leavenworth County, KS.

Karl Friedrich Daniel (Karl), born 2 Aug 1855

Sophie Wilhelmine (Minnie), born 5 Apr 1859 in Nammen, died 5 May 1957 in Easton Township, Leavenworth County, Kansas. Minnie is my great grandmother.

Philippine Sophie (Sophie), born 2 Dec 1862 in Nammen, died 28 Apr 1957 in Easton Township, Leavenworth County, KS.

Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm (William), born 19 Jun 1865 in Nammen. He died in Nebraska and is buried there, date unknown.

5.	Karl married Christine Wilhelmine Marie (Minnie) Gieselmann. She was born 24 Feb 1858 in Lohfeld, Minden, Westphalen, Germany. Her father was Friedrich Gieselmann. They were married in Germany, date unknown. They had one son born in Germany, Karl Heinrich, born 11 Feb 1880 in Lohfeld, Minden, Westphalen, Germany.

6.	Karl, Minnie and son Karl (Charlie) came to America in 1882 and settled on farmland near Mt. Pleasant, Atchison County, Kansas.

7.	Most of the Moeller family came to America in 1882. Oldest son, Henry, came to America in 1865, with some money, probably to set up a farming situation for his family. He eventually settled in a farming community near Easton, in Leavenworth County, Kansas. After he was established, his parents and brothers and sisters came in 1882. Parents Henry and Christine, son Fred (and his wife Caroline), daughter Minnie (my great grandmother), and a granddaughter, Christine Deerberg, all came together. Christine Deerberg was the daughter of Christine Moeller, the only child of Henry and Christine who did not come to America. Daughter Sophie and her husband, Henry Seute, came in 1882. Not sure when youngest son, William came. They all settled in northeastern Kansas, near Easton.

8.	Karl and Minnie had four more children while living near Easton (in Mt. Pleasant):

Wilhelm Heinrich (William), born 3 Dec 1882, died 17 Jan 1887, Mt. Pleasant, Atchison County, KS.

Wilhelmine Christine (Christine), born 1 Jan 1884, Mt. Pleasant, Atchison County, KS.

Wilhelmine Sophie, born 22 Jul 1885, died 8 Jan 1887, Mt. Pleasant, Atchison County, KS.

Rudolph Herman, born 27 May 1887. I don’t know much about this child. Birth (and death) dates for the other children are recorded in a register kept by St. John’s Lutheran Church. This child is not in the register, but is listed in a Moeller family history published in 1990 in a book put together by the Leavenworth County Genealogical Society. He is not listed with the family in South Dakota in the 1900 census, so he probably died before 1900.

9.	Karl and Minnie moved their family to South Dakota, probably in 1887 or early 1888. There’s a note in the St. John’s Church register that the family moved away. The Moeller family history says they moved to South Dakota, but doesn’t give a date.

This note is very long, but I wanted to tell you what I know about Karl’s early life. All of my information came from the family history published by the Leavenworth Genealogical Society, and the St. John’s Lutheran Church register. I can email a scanned copy of the family history. The church register was microfilmed by LDS in 1992 and can be ordered through their familysearch website.

I think my Karl Moeller and your Karl Moeller are the same guy. What do you think? I am not an Ancestry member so it might be easier to email me at hrm-erm@sbcglobal.net

Eileen

Hello!

I was researching my great grandparents, Frederick Dietrich and Frederieke Moeller Dietrich, when I came across John Moeller and Sophia. I have some old papers I was going through and found that my GGrandmother Rieke Moeller was John's sister. They also had another brother, Fred, and a sister Bertha. Fred and Rieke lived on 7 Mile Road, and their home is now in the Livonia Greenmeade Historical Park. The home was a Quaker Meeting House, and is called Quaker Acres. I have a lot more info for you, including where John William and Rieke grew up, when they came over, and about my GGF Fred. Fred and Rieke had 6 daughters, my grandmother Martha being the youngest born in 1889. She married their neighbor's son, Earl Peck, and gave birth to my dad, Charles Peck. I have a lot of photos if you're inerested, and my brother Terry (Dearborn), and cousin JoAnne Potter (Plymouth), have all of the family info. Fred and Rieke are buried in Clarenceville Cemetery in Livonia, and Martha and Earl are buried in Oakwood Cemetery Farmington. Please contact me back as we had no idea other Moeller relatives were in metro Detroit. Sincerely, Matt email: mpeck@mtsu.edu

Johann Heinrich Moeller m. Hagenow

I am looking for information on the Johann Heinrich Moeller b. 1824 in Hanover, Germany and died in 1882 in Elmhurst area Illinois. His wife was Sophia 'Lena' Hagenow b. October? 9, 1824 in Zulow, Germany and died February 19, 1912 in Palatine area Illinois and buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Palatine. They were married on January 5, 1949 in Sternberg, Gaegelow-Mecklenburg, Germany. Not sure on children... One place I found she was survived by 2 sons and four daughters and 3 brothers. Sophia 'Lena' is the one related to me. I have four children's names from a relative but not sure if they are correct either. An obituary for Sophia 'Lena' Moeller would be nice. Can someone help? Thanks for any help.

Hi Donna; Alison; Rosemary: My name is Audrey Woodrow [nee Diercks]. I am the Great-Granddaughter of Karl Moeller; the Granddaughter of Rosa Moeller [born 12 Apr 1889 in Nebraska] and Hermann Johannes Diercks; daughter of John Hermann Diercks and Doris Margaret Clark. I live in Burnaby BC [604] 438-7071; email a260339011175@yahoo.ca I am away from home until mid July but am on my computer. I would love to get in touch direct with everyone. To begin with 1] Rosa Moeller, not Mary Moeller married Hermann Diercks; 2]I have a picture of Rosa and Christine [my records have the same birth date for Christine and Stena so I assume they are the same person]; 3] Karl Moeller died in Cranbrook BC 08 Jan 1918. I have a newspaper article on his death. As it is verified and NOT RUMOUR I will pass it on - he commited suicide by hanging himself. I have been doing family research since the last 1970's. Regards, Audrey
PS: Alison, in your family tree where did you get the names of Karl and Wilhemine's Parents and also the names of all the extra children besides Charlie [Karl], Christine [Stena], Rosa, John, Emma, Bertha, Fred, Mary, Annie
