Spitalfields was a big French Huguenot community. Almost certain that Marie was of Huguenot descend.

There maybe no records of her parents if they were from France.

Samuel Mollett and Jane Ann Foreman are my great great grandparents. Their second son Rizen (also known as William) emigrated to Western Australia in 1911/1912 followed closely by his wife and 4 young children. Seven more children were born in Australia (2 dying in infancy). I am interested in sharing any family information particularly what happened to Samuel and Jane's oldest son Samuel and death details of Samuel and Jane.

Also I know that Jane's parents were Felix Foreman and Elizabeth but that is as much as I know. I have much more information on the Molletts and a lot of that is documented by someone else at http://s192906225.websitehome.co.uk/chris/mollett.html

I am looking for the first name of a Molette who was born in Arkansas (1920census). He married Ollie Fowler in ARK between 1900 and 1907. They had one son, Arthur Molette. Ollie is listed as widowed in the 1920 census and Arthur was born in 1907. Were there any Molettes living in ARK other than Ollie and Arthur?

Marie (or Mary) is my paternal 5 x gt grandmother. I have a certain amount of information regarding her e.g. i know she married Nicholas Jourdain on 18 May 1735 at St Benet Paul's Wharf, London. I also know her parents, her baptismal date and her godparents. This is where my information ends.

Would anyone know her death/burial date, her siblings or anything about her parents??

Not sure if she was a Huguenot but the surname certainly pushes towards it.

Grateful for any information.

Re: Mollett Surname

Hi, Linda. My maiden name is Mullet, the forebears of whom originated in Switzerland, and before that, England, and before that France. It has been handed down in our family that the Mullets (or Mollats or Mollets) were persecuted in France for their religious beliefs and went to England, where they were persecuted there as well, then moving on to Switzerland. The earliest record I have of my Mullets was 1770s when my great great great grandfather was born in Solothurn, Switz. Within ONE birth certif., there are 3 different spellings of the Mullet name, which certainly leads me to believe in the unity of origin of those different spellings. Also, in reading another Mullet's findings, it seems the Mullets might have been French Hugenots who fled France. THAT would explain why they went to nearly if NOT every country in Europe. Holland, Germany, Italy ,etc.
Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of Richard Mallett (b 1 Sep 1816, Guernsey, Channel Islands) and Louisa A. Nichols (b 2 Jul 1831, Nichols, Nichols, NY to John and Mary Nichols). Richard d @ age 43, 17 Oct 1859 and is buried @ Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Owego, NY. Mary Elizabeth had three siblings - Richard Henry (13 Feb 1852-20 Apr 1926), George Seymour (28 Sep 1856-14 Aug 1902), and Ellen Louise (30 Dec 1859-2 Feb 1934). Louisa remarried twice - John T. Witty in about 1860, and Isaac Bliss 1 Nov 1878. I have Louisa's death record if you are interested in more information. (The Mollett name is spelled various ways in census records.)

Robert MOLLETT 1782-1866 Norwich and London

Robert MOLLETT was a pastrycook born in Norwich to Robert and Temperance BASE in 1782. I have census records, second marriage (to Lucy FARR), death certificate and baptism. However, the one crucial bit of information I do not have is the marriage (if there was one) and, hence the surname of his first wife Elizabeth who is the mother of my great great grandfather John MOLLETT (born 1804). At his second marriage he does describe himself as a widower, but I just cannot find the first marriage. The children of the marriage were all baptised at St. Sepulchre in Smithfield, London so it is logical to assume the marriage was here. But it could have been in Norwich, or anywhere else in London. I do not know when Robert came to London. Do contact me if you have any further information. Robert and Elizabeth also had two other sons, Robert (John's twin I think) and William (born 1806). Love to hear from you if you have any information.

Hello, folks, i am Lloyd K. Mollett, I am a GGGG grandson of Noah Mollett. I woud apreciate any info on Him, I believe he came to the colonies from England, I read on another site that he defected from the british army, but I do not have any verification. My greatgrandfather Jesse W. lived in Missouri, and Kansas, Before moving to Oklahoma, I am trying to find out how many family members moved with him. If anyone can add to this it would be appreciated.

Violet and Harry MOLLETT born 1913 and 1914 South London

I have recently discovered that my grandmother (Maude Beatrice MAGEE) had two children - Violet and Harry. Violet was born in Lewisham and Harry in Peckham. Although their birth certificates state that my grandfather (Gerald Osmond Hubert MOLLETT) was the father, there is possibly some doubt about this. My grandparents both died young (grandfather 1917, grandmother 1925). I have found no deaths for either Violet or Harry so wonder what happened to them. For example were they adopted by my grandmother's sister Florence and her husband (STEER)?

Violet and Harry are an aunt and uncle I did not know I had. Does anyone know anything about them?

My grandmother was born Bertha Alta Mollett:

http://www.okcemeteries.net/garfield/miscobit/edec2004.htm
She passed on a few years ago. She had no brothers, but one sister, (either "Mina" or "Minnie E" Wilmina Hall, from Stafford KS).

If your ex-wife was Bertha's daughter, then that would be either Karlene or Darla - which is it?

My grandmother was married to Karl H. Or at least to what I have, you do.

In reverse order:

Noah Mollett, b. abt 1752-5 was supposedly a British soldier sent to the Americas in service of the King during the Revolution. After the war he chose to stay in the States and settled in Virgina. MARY (Nancy?) ATTERTON first wife, had two boys, ELIAS, b. abt 1773 and THOMAS. Noah and second wife, Sarah Barker had one known son, Nathan, b. abt 1786 in Virginia. All 3 boys were in Russell/Scott Co. Va. after 1800 until abt 1825. Then they went with their families to the Floyd County, KY area

Nathan R.
Hi Linda,

How far back have your traced your Mollett tree? The reason I'm asking is I'm looking for info on Samuel John Mollett's parents John & Rebecca. Samuel was a printer who emigrated to South Africa in 1820, born in 1768.I'm keen to find the UK side of the family.

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Catherine

Ancestors / Descendents Of George Mollett

Hello! My name is Hunter Smith. I recently discovered that my third - great grandfather is George Mollett. I don't think he ever married Polly Perry, but they had a child together named Charles. ( And I think a daughter named Cynthia. ) Polly gave him her last name and never would tell anyone who Charles' father was. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me go further on the Mollett side. He must have been born in the 1800's. Also, if you are a descendant, I would like to hear from you, too. Thank you!

I am definitely working on this line. Della was my great grandmother's sister. Only name I had was from one census and her name was spelled Dillie C. Bradley as Bradley was her maiden name. I believe my great great grandparents died leaving the children to scatter among family members. I would like any and all information possible on Hiram and Della. Thanks

You mentioned a Bertha Mollett. I am researching my great grandmother's sister, Dillie or Della Bradley who married Hiram Mollett. Just received this information and is great after searching for many years. Anyway, I have five children listed for Hiram and Della: Harry born 1889 in MO, Bertha born 1892 MO, Mary born 1894 MO, Irene born 1899 NE, and Frederick born 1906 in OK. Do you have any more details with dates or places?? Not sure yet if my information is correct.
