Our family descends from William Montacute 1302-1344 m. Catherine Grandison & their Philippa who m. Roger de Mortimer. This line eventually descends to the influential Randolph family of colonial Virginia.
Does anyone know Wiillam Montacute's ancestry? (He died in Windsor Castle.)

I'm looking for information on the Montague or Montacute family from Montacute village in Somerset - England.
My Great-Grandmother was Lottie Alberta Montacute/Montague (b. 1883). She married Charles William Benjamin Ham in Lambeth/ London in 1902. She had four sisters and a brother - Maud Evelin (b. 1883), Flossie (b. 1885), Gladys Marjorie (b. 1890), Francis Leslie (b. 1894) and Gertrude Amy (b. 1896). Their parents where Francis Montacute/Montague (1859-1902) and Mary Sarah Wilson (b. 1856).
The family moved up to Lambeth/ London between 1891 and 1894.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
