i was married to a daniel rosario montanez born in october of the year 1945 he would be close to 66 years, i was married to him in los angeles california , but divorced him four years after we were married, i am not sure if this is the same person

I am researching my paternal grandfather, Francisco Montanez (b. 1904). According to the documentation I have, he is the foster-son (hijo de crianza) of Sinforoso Montanez (y Rosario) and Venancia Oquendo (de Montanez). The 1920 census lists the household as residing in San Juan. In his late teens Francisco worked on passenger ships between San Juan and New York and eventually emigrated permanently to New York City.

Any information about his birth family and childhood would be greatly appreciated as I am at a roadblock.

Estoy investigando mi abuelo paterno, Francisco Montañez (n. 1904). Según la documentación que tengo, él es el hijo adoptivo (hijo de crianza), de Sinforoso Montañez y Oquendo Venancia. El censo de 1920 las listas de la casa, residente en San Juan. En su adolescencia trabajó en barcos Francisco de pasajeros entre San Juan y Nueva York y finalmente emigró definitivamente a Nueva York.

Cualquier información sobre su familia biológica sería muy apreciada como estoy en un retén.

Can you supply (birth/death) dates? My grandfather's name was Francisco Montanez (b 1906) and there was some family mythology that he had been abandoned by his widowed mother in PR, perhaps as a child or young teenager. He apparently emigrated to this country (NYC) in 1923 around the age of 17

Death of Joe Montanez

Joe Montanez, husband (38+ yrs of marriage) of Doris Jean Spriggs (daughter of Paul Spriggs) was diagnosed with prostate cancer that had spread to the bones around January 2005 - He was undergoing chemo treatment and Friday, February the 17th, 2006 he was taken to the V.A. Hospital in Kingman, Arizona in the morning and around 8:00 p.m. he passed away. His wish to be cremeated was granted. Joe was raised around the Tehatchappi (sp) California area. There is to be a memorial for him there on Saturday the 25th, 2006

Linda Pickens, wife (30+ years of marriage) of David Lee Spriggs, Sr. (son of Paul Spriggs) was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2004 that had spread to both the liver and the lungs - after two surgeries (colon) and five different regiments of chemo died in the Houston Hospice ward in downtown Houston @ 10:45 p.m. Wednesday the 8th of February - She was buried at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena Texas at 10:00 on Monday the 13th, 2006.

It is kinda fitting that they both went so close because they would call each other and talk till they were both hurting from the laughter before letting Doris and I talk.

Two Marines were killed and five others were injured when a Marine CH-53E deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom crashed yesterday at approximately 10 p.m. EST in a remote region 60 kilometers south of Bagram in Northern Afghanistan.
