I know that I am a decendant of Aschel S. Mould who was married to Maria Louise Crary. Any information you have on Aschel would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Linda

Thank you for your reply. My KIRK/Kirke family used the wife's surname as a 2nd name in most generations. I am searching as the family moved to Gravesend Kent abt. 1730 from somewhere ?
The last child in this family was William Moule Kirk, born 1736. His father was George Kirk, I expect the wife was a Moul/Moulde/Mole etc. I try all spellings. Do you have any link to a Kirk/Kirke family, (the marriage does not appear to be Gravesend) abt 1710 if not I will not expect you to reply. Thank you for your time.
Joyce Kirk.

Chloey Irena Mould (dr of Asa Mould) b New York, USA c1869

I am looking for information about my great-great-grandmother, Chloey Irena Mould, who was born in New York around 1869 to Asa and Elizabeth Mould. She married a man by the name of Poley and then remarried to Frank Joseph Rienecker. It is possible that Chloey had two sisters: Inez, born around 1862, and Lora, born around 1871.

Greetings Tammy: I just saw this email dated 2000. I never saw it before sorry for the long wait for an answer. I am writing this away from home. I live in downtown Oneonta, New York, but I am up the hill to the SUNY campus and I don't have my printed geneology book with me. I cant tell you that Letitia and Danial Mould were my Great-Great Grandparents, and their son Christopher D (Born) Jan 1, 1855 and passed away February 1933, had three wives. Louise Bergen Laurance was his wife who had 6 children Three of which I have known and talked to. My Uncle Charles Milton Mould,The First, Peter Jay Mould (my grandfather) and a sister Letitia who came east from Redlands, California in either 1958,59,60, or 61. I can't remember the year, but she thought she better do it then as TIME WAS GOING BY, and she thought it would soon be to late. The Mould's were In Montgomery, New York, and the earliest mentioned was Johannes C. Mould born 2/3/1783, Married Mary Shafer. The name is German and I heard that it was spelled Moule. Where and when the "D" got in the name, I don't know. I will do some looking up of Christopher D, and see which wife had the persons you mentioned and get back. I hope this has helped.

mould / moulds from St Budeaux Devon, England 1700's

I am researching the Moulds of St Budeaux, Plymouth. My ancestor was Robert Mould circa 1785 and his wife Mary Manning bap 1791. Their children George, Christopher ,Sally/Sarah and Thomasine Moulds are some names you may recognise.
I believe the family originated in Cornwall and were from Blisland. The name Thomasine Laundery appears in early documents as marrying Christopher Mould in 1758 and is a key to early records. Roberts baptism remains a mystery.

I got my information from the Mormon Church IGI listings, it is extremely hard to find info that far back.

I have tried parish records but most of them are either water damaged, faded out or eaten by mice etc, if you try the Bishops transcripts you have to wonder what they were smoking or had drunk? They are so unreliable.

I am most interested in following up your info, I think we can assume that we are related. I am the only one of my family who emigrated that I know of.

There are lots of family on the Stoke area, I have a brother and sister in Salisbury.

I would love to hear from you.

Regards

Michael

We also believe this to be a descendant.
You say that John Mould had five offspring we think he had two more - Thomas (christened 25 Oct 1781, Leek Stafford) and Sarah (christened 14 Aug 1783, Onecote Stafford). There may have been another missing child born 1778. We are descended from Thomas.
Do you have any other info on Samuel born about 1717. You seem to have got further back than us.
