My great-grandmother was Polish and she was born only a few days after her parents arrived in America from Poland. Her name was Estanaslava Mrozowski, but her parents changed it to Estelle. Her parents were from Warsaw, and I'm pretty sure her mother's name was Josephine and that her father's name was Josef. She had a brother named Ben as well as other siblings who were from another father because Josephine's first husband was killed by a ranch hand, although she was initially charged and jailed for the murder. Could these be the same people you're looking for?

Mary Mrozowski, 84
of Harborcreek Twp.,PA.
died Saturday August 21, 2010 at Twinbrook Medical Center. She was born in Erie, Pa. October 31, 1925, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Janicki Mrozowski. Mary retired from Conrader Mfg., and prior to that she was employed at Mercyhurst College. She was a devout Catholic, and she was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She enoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, crocheting, and needle crafting. She was preceded in death by sisters, Sr. Mary Solane CSSF., Helen Kurpiewski, Laura Chrzanowski, and Florence Bojarski, and brothers Casimir Mrozowski and Frank Mrozowski. Survivors include sisters, Irene Rowinski and husband Al of Erie, and Clementine Borkowski and husband Vincent of Phoenix, Arizona and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc. 2101 Ash St. Monday 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and may attend a service there Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church or to the Charity of one's cholic.

Hi. I was searching the message boards for my nana's family. Her surname was Mrozowski. Her mom was pregnant when she came over from Poland in 1911 and was born shortly after. Her mother's name was Josephine Dike. I think the last name is right. Could this be the same family?

Looking for remarriage after 1956. Mrozowski was her previous married surname and Konieczny her maiden name. Don't know which she used after divorce. She was born in Buffalo NY, in about 1932 and first married in Detroit MI. in 1950. Want any information about her. Trying to locate her.

SHERMAN - Jadwiga Mrozowski, 87, of Sherman died Monday, April 25, 2005, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born June 29, 1917, in Vilno, Poland. She married August Mrozowski Sr. in 1942; he died in 1985. A daughter, Barbara Brawner, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Mrozowski was a homemaker and member of St. James Church in Riverton.

Survivors: daughter, Eva (husband, Steve) Delay of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, August Mrozowski Jr. (wife, Sharon Ehrat) of Chatham and Adam Mrozowski of Hillsboro, Mo.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother in Poland.

Graveside services: 2 p.m. today, Wolf Creek Cemetery, Williamsville, Monsignor John Renken officiating.

Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Looking for info on Andrew (Andrzej) Mrozowski, b. 1868 in Poland. He married Magdalene KAAPSZYK. He left two brothers, six sisters, two grandsons, six granddaughters and one daughter, Caroline LIESNIEWSKA in Poland. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1900. Any information would be most appreciated.

Thanks for your reply...sorry it's taken a while to get back on your offer. My sister posted that earlier email but she didn't have any information really and so I'm trying to get dates and other relevant information from my mother and grandmother but it's a little difficult at the moment because she's very ill.
