The record shows that he was born in Adelaide, South Australia on October 24, 1838. He was a retired Sea Captain. The information for his father and mother is listed as "Unknown". Based on the above information this James R. Mullett is not any one that I am looking for.

Glad to help, Mary Ellen. One point, my guest is the address was 2828 W. Taylor Street. Have you gotten your hands on his 1912 death certificate. It might list the birthplace of his parents, or even his birthplace.

I have a picture of Bertha and her husband David. (I'm pretty sure it is David) Any way, Bertha was my great grand mother. She died on a bus traveling from niles to New Philidelphia to visit her sister. She had a heart attach and it took a few days for family to figure it out. Her sons were Raulph, David, Norman, Clifford, Charles, Harry, and my grandfather Alfred. No girls. My grand father was an awesome person and I love talking about him and his brothers. They were a great bunch and drove my grand mother Bertha crazy, my mom says. Write if you want to.<br>Sherry
