I have some information on William Henry Murray, 1st Governor of Oklahoma, later US Congressman Senator, whose WIFE was native American, and whose son, Johnston Murray, was governor of OKLahom in the 1950's. In the belongings of my parents, I have an 8 x 10 wedding picture of Priscilla Cain and Everett Estes. I was told that she was Alfalfa Bill's neice. Who was her mother and father?
I have a Christmas card to my mother, Sylvia Bohot from Priscilla and Everett in 1930.
I have forgotton how/if there is any relation. The family names possibly involved are: Bohot, Howard, Purcell,Mills, Pearcy, Dunn. Would be happy to share the photograph.

I'm sorry not to be of any help. I really wish I could be. I don't have any Cain at all in my data. Here's what I do have. By his 1st wife, Bertha Elizabeth Jones, William Henry Daid Murray (Alfalfa Bill)'s father had three sons - John Shade Murray who had a son Clive, George Thomas Murray who moved to North Dakota, and Alfalfa Bill himself Then their father, Uriah Dow Thomas Murray remarried to Mollie J Greene and they had 3 sons 3 daughters: in order, William Campobell Murray b 1874, Martha Marenda Murray b 1875 m M W Parrish, Louis Frederick Murray

Louis Frederick Murray b 1877, Dovey Murray b 1882 m S L Isom, Richard Murray b 1883, and Grace Murray b 1809 m E C Kane - whoops! There is is - just a variant spelling for Cain! Grace was born June 20 1890 and EW C Cain (Kane) was b ca 1885: they were married Jan 27 1909 in Shawnee, OK!

Some days I get lucky despite myself! The information I have originally came from old Alfalfa Bill's own very confused memoirs - written when he was about 82 (1947). I would love to have any further data you might have, and if you wish, I can send you a GEDCOM for that branch of the Murray clan. Just get me your regular email address.

I am glad that the name Kane (Cain) popped in there. I have a place to start looking now but am really puzzled as to where this will eventually fit in.
