Re; Murrays of Massachusetts: I have no idea if our families link up at all, but yours is the first listing i have found that shows Murray's in eastern MA at the right time. I have a ggfather named Daniel J. Murray who was probably born in MA in 1865, but both his parents were born in Ireland. He married a Mary L (last name unknown) and had 6 children, one of whom was my grandmother. Any chance the lines connect? Please email me with any info, I have reached a dead end. Thanks, Claire

Iam beginning to plan a large family reunion. I am tentatively thinking ofthe summer of 2011. I would like the venue to be in Somerville Mass.in a place of historical interest. The reunion will include the descendants of Daniel Murray of Cushendahl, County Antrim of Northern Ireland. Daniel Murray was my great, great, great grandfather. He was born in Ireland around 1800. His grandaughter Elizabeth Murray married James Connelly and emigrated to Somerville in 1870. I know my grandfather kept in touch with the Gilman St. Murrays. I have info on Ann Tracy Murray who was born in 1861 in Cushendahl. She was married to Patrick F. McNeil. They had 6 children and at least 3 of them were born in Somerville, Mass. THe last one James in 1903.
Does this connect to your info at all.

i am looking for the family of mary a. murray.came to boston in 1900,married james sullivan(from bantry cork)in brighton in june 1904. she died in childbirth in sept 1905 in natick. the ship roster has her living in cork but may be because she left from queenstown on the ivernia arrived boston 21 august 1900.her parents are listed as timothy murray and ellen leary.
i know she had 2 sisters living in the boston area when she died.that is the extent of my information.thank you for any help you can give me.
