Hi. I am searching the Murrays of Pembroke, ON, Canada and the surrounding counties. James Murray was born in Offaly county, Ireland but I have yet to get ahold of any records from Ireland. His father was Thomas Murray and his mother was Catherine Fox.

Hi. Thomas Murray was born about 1785 and Catherine Fox was born about 1790. Both from King's county, Ireland (Offaly)

Hi. I don't seem to make any connections with the names in your reply. My Murrays came to Quebec west about 1840.

My "brick wall" with my sister-in-law's Murrays is:
James Murray born Iberville Quebec c. 1817 who married Ellen Richardson in 1839 in Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Quebec City. Any help, as to James' parents, would be appreciated. Peter

James Murray, in my tree, is Cathlic. Yours being Presbyterian must come from Scotland. Have you tried the ship arrivals to Quebec city? Often his father would have the first name of a British King. My family were all British Kings and Queens up until the 1920s
