I am looking for more information on my Musselwhite lineage. My great great grandfather was Johnathan Musselwhite born about 1831 in Florida. He married Mary (Polly) Finley born abt 1834 in South Carolina. They had 4 children that I know of. Jesse Jackson Musselwhite(my great grandfather) born 1873 in Texas. Nancy Elizabeth born 1861, Sarah Jane born 1867 and William Ervin born 1877. Any information on some of my older ancestors would be great.

I would like to see these records. I am stuck going any farther back on my family tree. The last person I have is an Alexander John Musselwhite who married Nancy Barfield. They were both born around 1680. I know my ancestors came from England, but just can't find the connection

I am the great great grandaughter of Elizabeth Musselwhite. My great grandfather was Charles Mayo Who married Tony Alice Meade. Their children are as follows. Frank,Fred,James,Walter,Hazel,Mary Alice(my grandmother)Sadie,Irene and Florence. Fred was a twin but his brother Eddie died at birth. Frank and Fred never married and lived in the home place on fourmile until their deaths. Hazel was married to a Salyers but not for long. She got pregnant with her daughter of out of wedlock and tried to kill herself by drinking lye water. It did not hurt the baby but burned her throat up and she had a tube that went into her stomach. She would have to chew her food and spit it into a tube. She also passed away at the old home place. Walter died in a rest home in california about 15 years ago. My grandmother died of alzheimers disease in 1991. We cannot find any information on Elizabeths birth. What we can find is that she was bought from the indians while they were on the trail of tears by the musselwhite family and raised as their own.

My name is Townsel Combs the father of Todd Combs. My Great-great grand mother was Elizabeth Musselwhite, She married Sylvester Coots, they were the parents of Henry H. What is your source that Catherine's surname was Montgomery? I have never found a marriage record for them. This is also my line. One of their children John, married Margaret Montgomery. I have posted their portrait to one of these listings.

There are 2 Samuel Storys and a Richard listed in 1830...one Samuel Story is in Irwin Co and the other Samuel Story is in Dooly Co. They are about the same age and are very close in family size. At first, I thought it was same family recorded twice, but each have different neighbors.

I am very familiar with Samuel Story of Dooly, later Worth Co. and all his many children from 2 separate families. I believe, there are still Storys unaccounted for in Dooly Co...example-Richard Musselwhite - Sarah Ann Story married 1849 and George W Calhoun-Nancy Story married 1847. They probably are connected to Samuel and Richard Story of Irwin

QUESTION: Does anyone have information on the family of Samuel and Richard Story in 1830 Irwin and Richard Story later in 1840 Lee Co. I know the courthouse burnt in Lee Co along with many others. Please help me sort these Storys out. It would be greatly appreciated your help. Thank you.

Do you have a picture of the home of Hoyt H. Davis? Was it built in the 1940s? Was it later owned by Harvey A. Macy and then washed away when Camille struck in Aug 1969? Perhaps the address was 10821 Eagles Nest Road or it was near it as a newer house (maybe same Hoyt Davis house?) was built or remodeled on that same site by James B. Travis, and it too was lost recently during Hurricane Katrina? Randy

I found Stella in my notes. The names in that photo left to right are: Millard, James Feeney behind him, Stella, unknown behind her, Matthew Feeney (man with moustache) Elizabeth Feeney, my mother, May(Taylor) Musselwhite, Sadie Feeney, Pallie (Smith) Musselwhite, Margaret Feeney.

Lillian Musselwhite, unknown child, Roy Elmer Musselwhite, Ruth Musselwhite, Sarah E. (Sadie) Musselwhite Goodman, unknown child, Herbert Musselwhite, Tom Musselwhite, Grace Musselwhite, and David Musselwhite.

Do you have any information abut a Millard and Stella Mcclure? I have not done any research on them but I assume there was some connection to the Musselwhites. Their picture shows up in a group photo I just received and Millard was a witness at my parents wedding in the 1920s.

I just saw this post, I see it's from a few years ago, but just in case you see it again, Leonard was my grandmother's brother (Zula M. Musselwhite-Faircloth). I grew up listening to stories about "uncle Leonard" , my father thought the world of him.

I have some pictures of Uncle Leonard as well as Sarah and Ashley Musselwhite. If you, or any other family members are interested I would be happy to send copies.

I don't know much about James White. I too would like to know where he died and what happened after his brief relationship with his second wife. James was my husband's great grandfather. James T Musslewhite, who was married to Louisa Hurt, was in Civil War. James T junior, who was married to Callie Barfield was born AFTER the Civil War. This should straighten out some confusion. I cannot find a source for Tillet being the T...
I have seen T for Thomas, however. I believe the 1880 census or the 1900 census has James T. and James T Jr living next door in Robeson County, NC. The Hurts were from Montgomery County, NC.

I have grandparents and an aunt and cousins in North Carolina and I think they moved there from West Virginia.

I have met many of my close Musselwhite cousins in Kentucky, but have not been able to correspond with anyone in Virginia yet. I would be willing to share all my information and photos also. Musselwhites in Woolwich, Kent, England

I am trying to find out about Caroline Musselwhite who married William Vaughan in the Church of Saint Luke, Old Charlton, Kent in 1835.

According to later censuses she was born in Woolwich, Kent, around 1815-1816 but I have found no baptism entry as yet.

Also there are no Musselwhites in the 1841 or 1851 censuses or on free BMD for the area.

The only other clue is that a Mary Ann Musselwhite was a witness at Caroline's 1835 marriage so she must have been a relative.

If anyone has any info I would be grateful to hear anything.
