My son's line is from Gr, Gr Grand father William Nail birth Mar 1860. William's daughter Hazel was my my son's Gr Grandma. Sweet Lady and feisty as heck.
I have not been able to go back any further yet.

William was 80ys old in 1930. And had the following children:
W A Nail M	18
Frank Nail M	16
Hazel Nail F	13
Rosa Nail F	11
William Nail M	7
James Nail M	3

The following is hunch. Either William was married twice or his wife Susan had kids very late in life. The following children seem to be from the late 1800's. and the first batch of children are from the early 1900's.

Do you know any thing further that I don't yet?

Let me know.
I can be e-mailed at tanzy02@att.net (linda)
This is what I have on the Nail/Spicers. George Nail (1817- 1882)m.Mary Strickland (b.1842) in 1868. Their children (that I have) were: Martha J (Spicer), James b.1853, Samuel b.1857, George b.1863 and Salley b.1867. Martha married Roean (Rowan,Roan) Spicer,(1842-1891) in 1868. Their children (that I have) were: Sally(ie)b.1874, Bell(e)b.1869, William b.1876, Cisciro(Cicero)b.1878 and Edward Ray b.1879, Sarah Elizabeth (1873 or 4- 1938). My interest in this is Sarah Elizabeth married William C(P) Hobbs in 1896. They had 4 children; the youngest of them, Edward Ray Hobbs was my dad. The last record I have of Martha was she was in her daughter Belle Luichas' family in 1920. Hope this is some help.

Albert Courtney, their son, is my daughter's grandfather. I would appreciate any help you can give me in finding her Nail family history. According to what showed up in ancestry.com her father was Matthew C. Nail, but I hit a brick wall after that. Thank you for whatever help you can give. Alice

The only info I have from Tommie Lee Gibson's parents is through Ancestry. My husband's mother mentioned several times about her husband's grandmother was either the same person or related to Tommie. She didn't quite understand it, & I haven't figured it out either. Mr. Sims' mother was a Lee also, as far as I can tell. You can contact me thru Ancestry email.

This is the family that I have been trying to find. Tommie Lee Gibson was the daughter of my husband's grandmother's sister. Ellen Elizabeth Norman who married Joseph Lee, probably in Bowie county Texas, where they lived. I would very much like to find out when Ellen Norman Lee died. We found a court record that had C.F. Cabler app't guardian of the children. This Cabler was married to a Lee... so think he might have been their uncle. Tommie's death cert. listed Mrs. Leslie Nail as the informant, so I assume this was her daughter Oreta. I know Oreta was first married to a Simms.

Any help would be wonderful! Also want to get to know the shirt-tail relatives!

Matthew died in 1835 and his widow, Catherine, was still in Madison Co. in 1836 when she started drawing his pension, so I*'m sure he died in Madison Co. Family records say they were Methodist, but I have no info on a possible church membership that might tell us where he's buried. That early, the odds are they buried him in a family plot on their property.

I checked my records for Nicholas and did not find his burial place either. Cemeteries of Madison Co. Alabama, Vol. 1 does not list him, but that volume does not cover the whole county, so he could still be buried in Madison Co.
I know he married in Madison Co. and was living there in
1880. Was his wife, Sarah, a Landers or a Sanders?
I have both as possibles. This is not my line so I never tried to figure out which family she belonged to. I'll check some Alabama records at my local library and if I find anything helpful, I'll let you know.

Did he by any chance attend Annapolis? I think I have copies of some of his Annapolis records.
My grandfather was Fred Naile, born in Montgomery County, PA who lived in Pottstown and Norristown - born January 19, 1891. I think they may have been related. I also believe the Naile family operated hotels in Bridgeport and Norristown. They changed from one religion to another so they could sell liquor--according to my late Aunt Elizabeth.
Fred was married to Martha Geneva Aker, also from Norristown. My father, Edward Naile, is the son of Fred and Martha.

Thank you for replying. It is just that I have like 4 people who are such a mystery and can't find anything about them. I have searched and searched...doing the best I can with what information I have. I don't know what to do. Does anyone know how much a expert costs? I will probably have to go that route because I am at a standstill. That is strange too. The Nail's, almost every one of them had a slew of kids. My Grandpa had 14 himself and Ben his cousin had about 11 kids. And I can't find my John Nail. Agravating. Thank for the input. I appreciate it. Cynthia Falwell

I am trying to find John Nail's parents and grandparents. I would so appreciate it because I am getting so confused. This John Nail had a son George Adam Nail...he is my grandfather and my George was married to Lillie Mae Glass. And help would be very much appreciated.
