I am looking for my Father's family. I was born April 8, 1954 to William and Lora Naples. I think he was called Billy. They divorced and I was adopted by my Mother's husband when I was a teenager. William died in 1962. I would love to know if I have siblings on my father's side. I have lots of baby pictures and hope someone could help me identify family members. Thank you very much!

Hi, sorry it took me so long in replying to your mail, been on vacation for the last 2 weeks. My ancestors orginially came from Paris, France. My gg-grandfather was a captain in the French army and during his second enlistment deserted going to Naples, Italy and broading a ship for America. During this time he changed his last name to Naples we suspect since it was the name of the Italian town he ran to. He went to New Orleans first and then moved to Missouri, marrying Lucinda Cagley of Tennessee. They had one son named Daniel S. Naples who married Mathilda Boenker and they had 2 children named Archibald A. and Elmer Naples. Do any of these names ring a bell? email me at irish-4@swbell.net

been thinking that my great-great grandfather Adolph Naples may have come to USA through Canada. I'm thinking this because I can find no entering of a passenger on a ship for him in the US. He may possibly have gone to Canada first then crossed the border into America. This is something for me to check on.

Just a strange coincidence (or not) but my grandfather was named Ralph Naples, born around 1906 (?) in Italy. He was adopted into the Naples family by Thomas Napolitano, who a handful of us males have been named for. I have tried, but failed so far in finding out my grandfather's biological families.
Also, strangely enough, my grandfather did have a brother in the Naples family, named Anthony. No Carmella, as far as I know.

Hello to all! I would like to introduce myself to everyone as your new Board Administrator for the surname NAPLES. I am Marcy (Naples) Hazelton. I see there has been little activity to this message board in some time. Hopefully we can change this by posting a roll call. Please feel free to list all relatives you are either looking for information on or would like to share information about with one of the other members of our list. Please include any info. that is relevant to the people you are sharing info about or persons whom you are looking ofr such as dates the events occured.
Also, if you know of others who would be interested in this message board, please direct them to us, as the more members actively searching for family the better our chances of connecting two "long lost relatives"!
Good luck to all & Happy Searching....
Marcy

Hi there, this is in reponse to Andrea posting about attending the Brier Hill Festival in Youngstown, where my father (Phillip) says he was born above a little store over there(i think he said the name was Remedio's or something like that) and hearing about all the Naples that attended was cool. My family eventually moved to the Struthers area and have been here a long time. My uncle and aunt (Patrick and Phyllis) also have stayed in the area, actually Coitsville, but other than them we haven't been able to attend a reunion in at least 20 or more years and have lost touch with most of our relatives...and there sure are a lot of Naples out there..all cool people of course(lol). In closing, would be nice to hear from some relatives and maybe set up having reunions once again.

Andrea Naples,

Last night, actually last weekend was the Brier Hill Festival. I talked to your uncle Joe. He is a big shot on the committee. It was cool, I walked up to him with my dad and he said, "Hello Mr. Naples and Mr. Naples, do you know Mr. Naples, Mr. Naples and Mr. Naples?" There were Naples' out the wazoo! It was pretty cool. Brier Hill Pizza, etc. Dom Tocco (my cousin) and Brotherhood were playing, as well as every Italian Band in the city. I really like going to the festival, it is right across the street from where my Grandmother's house was (fire).

How did you end up in Atlanta?

I had a first cousin Jerry DeFalco, who lived in Atlanta, he worked for Cadbury Swepps in charge of human resources. I just found out though that he moved to Texas.

Nice Sharing with you

Sam
In the Youngstown, Ohio Area, there are a ton of Naples living here. Three Families came to this community brought here by "Big Steet." The three family names were Napolitan, Neapolitan and DiNapoli, which is my family name.
Last year, I E-mailed a young man from Naples, Italy who informed me that there are about 100 pages of DiNapoli's. I'm sure that I am not related to all of them so the chances of all of the Naples in America being related is slim to none.
Also, my Grandfather Ottoviano DiNapoli's family did not live in the city of Naples, they are from a little village in the Basilagatta (SP?) area of Italy.
None the less every person that I have ever met that is named Naples is AWESOME.
