Antonia Naranjo of Guadalajara

Antonia Naranjo is one of my wife's 2nd great grandmothers. She was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, I estimate sometime between 1855 and 1885. She married Cesario Corona, also of Guadalajara. I'm aware of one son, Vicente, who settled in San Gabriel, Jalisco and supposedly owned most or all of the businesses in it at one point. Vicente married Lucrecia Garcia of Guadalajara; both died sometime after 1941. Please reply only if you have information about any of them. Thanks.

And let me add that they were from Michoacan/Jalisco. I think my dad grew up in a small 'publo' referred to as "El Limoncito" probably formally called El Limon, Michoacan.

My father's mother's last name was Naranjo Martinez before she married into the the Reyes family.

My father grew up or was born in what he refers to as "El Limoncito" in Michoacan, Mexico. His mother's last name was Narranjo and she married into the Reyes family. Her first name is Petra.

I have found a Naranjo in my family, a GGGrandmother, maternal side, but she got to New Mexico (La Mesilla, Dona Ana Cty) via Texas/Chihuahua, Mex. I have pretty much hit a wall for information. Her name was Mecedes Naranjo b. 1845, married Jesus Estrada.

Hi Angela, something tells me were probably related. I woulg guess through your husbands side of course. Funny thing is I have been helping my 9 year old daughter on her heritage report for school. My mom has some pretty cool info on the Naranjo side (her side) of the family. My great, great, great grandfather Benito Naranjo married Josephine Vigil. They had a son Alex naranjo who married Delfinia Quintana, they had a son Raymand Naranjo who married Maria Garcia, (my grandparents). Their daughter Margie Naranjo married my dad Tony Montoya. I have been researching my husband's side of the family and am having trouble. They are Naranjo's from New Mexico. His family is related to the Montoya, Vigil, Archuleta and Garcia families in New Mexico also. The last place I can trace the Naranjo's in New Mexico is around Harding and Union counties in early 1914 to 1830's. Any help would be appreciated.

My husbands family (Naranjo) have lived in New Mexico from the 1830 to present. They are related to the Montoya, Vigil, Archuleta and Garcia families in New Mexico. I am finding it very hard to find record of Naranjo's past 1830's. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi my name is Diana, I have family in Alice, texas, my granpapas name was Alejandro Naranjo born in Bee county in 1876,He mentioned an erineo, but said they lost track of each other round 1940, there should be a juan naranjo who died in Alice in 1960 too, anyway, Just wondering if we'd be related, my Naranjos extended from beevill, to alice, donna, combes, kingville, robstown, and brownsville. My daughters now 20 and 21 are asking for info, ANd I have lots of old pic's but no names, just two w/ baldemar naranjo an army officer in uniform, but no date, and another one octavio naranjo.

as a matter of fact i did talk to someone about a year ago. and if i am not mistaken it was your uncle Unfortunately it seems the age of Micaela was off. The Micaela i have was 13 years old in the 1900 census. but then back in them days alot of the dates were not correct. If we could connect with other information that would be great. I have been working on my family lineage and have hit a road block on the Naranjo side and I am hoping that you may be able to help me out. My Grandmother was Rose Naranjo, born 6/22/1926 in Colorado. Her father was Antonio Naranjo born 1892 in New Mexico. His father was Severo Naranjo born 1864 in New Mexico. I can not find any other information regarding this part of my family. If you have any other information at all, I would would greatly appreciate it.

I do not know of Naranjo in Guadalajara at the time. i do not know much of my family name, but what I can tell you is that I have many family in Autlan de Navarro, Jalisco in which we carry the Naranjo name.

One of my wife's 2nd great grandmothers was Antonia Naranjo. She was born sometime between 1855 and 1885 in Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She married Cesario Corona, who was also born around the same time in Guadalajara. I know that they had a son named Vicente sometime between 1885 and 1900; I don't know if they had other children.

I don't know anything else about Antonia. It appears that she might be related to you, since you also belong to a Naranjo family in Jalisco. How far back have you traced your Naranjo family roots?

One set of my wife's 2nd great grandparents was Cesario Corona and Antonia Naranjo. According to my mother-in-law, both of them were born in Guadalajara (city), Guadalajara (municipality), Jalisco, Mexico sometime between 1855 and 1885. They wed and, to my mother-in-law's knowledge, had only one child, my wife's great grandfather Vicente Corona Naranjo. Does anyone have any Corona and/or Naranjo family data that could be relevant to this?
