I assume you have found your relatives.however, as this was an old post I will offer what I've found. I am Joni Naves from the San Francisco area. Our family is from Asturias, Spain. In researching my family I may have found yours:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSfn=&...

Joseph Anthony was my grandfather. I may have some other living links in Nevada for you. Contact me at Joniwrite1@peoplepc.com as I rarely look here.

Re: Robert Wills Naves

Robert Wills Naves and I are second cousins. Our maternal grandfathers were brothers. In my home growing up , we had a small page album with photos of William as an infant and toddler which I have posted on my blog. As an adult I had to do some research to figure it all out.

I never knew him as I was born after the war. Robert's mother father was William Wills - I have lots of information on my blog on about the greatgrandfather who came from Cornwall

My story about RW Naves is at:

http://francoamericangravy.blogspot.com/search/label/Robert%...

From newspaper articles it appears to me his father from New Brunswick committed suicide. His mother later remarried.
Very unfortunate, very sad story.

I can share more information
Email me at FrancoAmericanGracy@gmail.com

Thank you for giving me Robert's middle name. I knew it began with "W". It makes sense it would be his mother's maiden name. I thought Robert had no siblings or children so I was wondering if you were related to the Naves? Robert's father was born in NB, Canada and fought in the WW1 for Canada. I would appreciate any information you can share on the family.

jlegere@nb.sympatico.ca

Trying to find information on my Great Grandparents. They are from Portugal, probably Azores. 4 children, Nellie born in MA 1881, Samuel 1890, George 1898, and Dorothy 1903, all born in CA. Have information that my Great Grandmothers maiden name may have been Degama. They most likely lived in Northern California (have info for some of the children as adults in Yreka and San Francisco).

naves

I am descended from Robert Alexander Naves. He is my great great grandfather. My Great Grandmother was Alameda (aka "Mattie") Naves who married a man with the surname of Bailey. My Grandmother was Bernice Myrtle Bailey. She died in 1991. My Father was Clarence Arthur Rowland. He died April 16, 1990. I am Gary Rowland his last son. Born Jan 9, 1978.
George Naves was Robert Alexander Naves's father. You can trace your roots through these individuals to Theophilus Taylor who came to America from England in 1759 and fought in the American Revolution. See HTTP://freepages.geneaology.rootsweb.com/~vessell/taylor.htm.
