Hi I need some help if you can please.Emma neeves 1879 father was William Henry neeves can be spelt neaves,was a morris when my grandfather was born but prb not married (change of name here too),married a blake then married a kingsland late in her life.I believe she had a daughter dorothy may smith(you see just gets more complicated) and thomas w j blake from the canterbury and lenham area so kent and areas.
Any small snippets or links would be very appriciated

And finding his mother is near impossible...

I have since discovered that I had some information incorrect in my tree. My William Neaves never married and had children, so my original question was not based on fact. He left as a single man and died on Elsey Station in the Northern Territory. As far as I know there was not another William in the family, the younger sons were Francis, Edward and Henry

i think he may have been my grandfather's brother.my auntie has told me that her father had an older brother buried in nt.my grandfather's name was William to be he was a lot younger apparently

The following is my extraction of one deposition in the file of the above named chancery cause. I would really like to learn as much as I can about this particular William Gathright. Can anyone tell me about him.

Littleberry Baughan was living in the general area of Three Chopt Road/Deep Run Creek/Short Pump at the time of this deposition. Can anyone tell me if this particular William Gathright was also living in that area at this time? How is he related to the Gathrights of the Boar Swamp area?

The Deposition of Littleberry Baughan of Lawfull age in a suit of Chancery Depending in Goochland Court betwen (sic) John Neaves pltf & Wm Gathright Deft

Deposeth & sayeth that some time after the suit for Slander was determined betwen (sic) Wm Garthright & Wm Neaves that the sd Baughan fell in Discourse with John Neaves at Benjamin Smoots concerning the suit betwen his Brother Wm & Wm Garthright for the sd Baughan told John Neaves he heard that his brother Wm had cast Gathright in the suit of Slander & had thrown all the Costs of the suit on Him, which the sd John Neaves said was true & that the suit of Slander now Depining(?) tuteoin(?) the sd Gathright & himself he would not put it up on any terms for he was certain to cast him & make him pay all Costs as his Brother had done for he was able to prove facts by a number of Witnesses against the sd Garthright That would make him look as Black as midnight, but he said he was sorry for Garthrights children that they should suffer on his account of that they should have such an Old Villain for their father as Gathright was for they Were a parcel of likely Children & the sd Baughan further sayeth that the sd Gathright is a very kind neighbour, Just & honest in his dealings & his word much to be Depended on & do believe him to be as honest a man as any in Henrico County. & the sd Baughan further sayeth that he worked for Robert H. Sanders at the time that Sanders fell out with Gathright on account of the land that he had purchased of Gathright that did belong to Burwell Baugh & said he was very sorry for it & that he never Should have Broke his agreement with Gathright for the land had he not ben parsuaided to do it by Hezekiah Puryear? & further this Deponent saith not.

we are researching the riffey side of our family tree, but when we get to my husbands great grand parents, we are stumped on the great grandmother. His great aunt says her name was nannie or nancy farris neeves married to sherman arthur or something riffey(spelling may be off). she is related some how to a william neeves (spelling) and a willie dolinger. I have found things on those two, but nannie or nancy eludes me. we have info on a sara riddle or something. we are at a loss as we are just started this again agter a long time. have information on Freeman Neaves and his wife Mary (nee Twyman). Their daughter Ann born 24th June 1837 at Beltinge, married William Twyman a soldier in the 10th Hussars at Herne 2nd March 1861 . My Great Grandparents.
Anne and William moved to Ireland with the Hussars on a tour of duty where their first two childrend were born. (William Freeman and Mary) Both children were Christened back at the barracks in England.
I believe Emma married a Alfred Holness.

John Neves / Neaves / Neeves and family

I'm searching for information on John NEVES, b. 1814-1820 in North Carolina.
He married first (1) Susan BLEVINS and had the children Robert and Elihu, both born in Tennessee, possibly an eldest daughter named Mary born in North Carolina (based on her age, she could also be John's sister).
He married second (2) Margaret Jane MARTIN. Children are Rutha, Prince, John, Harrison, Mary, Josephine and Nicki. Josephine's descendants (my line) are in Ohio, some of Harrison's seem to have gone to Arizona.

John's migratorial path goes from North Carolina (birth-1836) to Tennessee (1840s) to Miami County, Ohio (1860) to Pendleton County, Kentucky (1870) to Casey County, Kentucky (1880). I don't know when or where he or his wives died.

John's parents are supposedly from Ireland.
Any information is greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Newling Neaves (b1781). He was married in 1802 in Barton to Anne Hinds, and they had at least six children, including another Newling Neaves (b1810), through whom my family descends.
I would be interested to hear from anyone with information on these two people, and anyone who has relatives with the surname Neaves in the Barton/Chesterton area.

Looking for information on Henrietta Neaves. I think she was born at Norton, Kent, England abt 1860/1861. She married Richard Henry Smith around 1880 and then went on to live in Rainham, Kent.

I cannot find hardly any information on her.

I am trying to trace infomration on the family of Freeman NEAVES born approx 1812, Herne Kent died 1898 Blean, Kent. He married Mary (maiden name not confirmed) in 1835 and had at least 3 children.

The three children I currently know of are Emma born 1838 Herne, Kent; Louisa born 1854 Herne, Kent and my Great great great grandmother Eliza NEAVES born 1844 Herne, Kent.

Eliza had one daughter out of wedlock Edith Janet NEAVES and then married George WELCH in 1866 in Canterbury, Kent.

If you too are reseaching the NEAVES family of Kent and have any information on Freeman, his parents/siblings and his children (and indeed any information on Mary whom he married) please please get in touch.

I have Daniel Neaves born 1761 in Virginia. He married Mary??? and eventually moved to Kentucky. Their children were: WAlter, James, Judith, Kitty, and Mary M. I also have possibly a Frederick, susan and Daniel.

My father's name is Albert Lowell Neaves. I know he was married more than once. From what little I know he had a daughter named Mary, who I never met. he lives in Wilmington, DE and is listed in the phone book. He was born in 1926 in NC. I hope this helps.

I am looking for any information on John Neaves. I have information on his family after he came to Nova Scotia but can't seem to find anything from how he got here and where he came from. Landed in the Dalhousie area around 1815-1827. It is said that he may have been a vetran of the Crimean war or the Napoleonic war.

Hello, Ann. I received word a few days ago from another Neeves researcher studying your William Harrison Neaves. Her husband's grandfather was Hendrick Trenor Neeves, s/o William & Willie. Her name's Gail Neeves; she didn't mention her husband's, though.

Judy I have some information on Cora. I just found James Neeves and Sarah (Riddle) in the 1900 Census North Carolina, Ashe Co. Horse Creek Township. Cora S. Born July 1888 she was 14 at the time. Her father James Neeves was born in TN and her mother Sarah Riddle was born in NC I belive Sarah's parents to be John William Riddle and Eliza E. Ecanandes. My husband was raised by his mother and didn't know his dad.
Curtis was born in Fredricks Maryland in 1957, so I am assuming
that is where is dad is from. His mother's name was Frances and I
