A KILLING NEAR WILBURTON
Wilburton: At Godan post office, a few miles west of Wilburto, William Newborn, a negro, was shot and instantly killed. Three shots were fired, two of which took effect. Joseph Hatton, a negro, was arrested and brought to Wilburton for a preliminary hearing.
