I have posted this before but I have some new information -
I have confirmed that my ancestress Mary Adelaide Nicholson was born in Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada in 1853. Her father - James Nicholson was born in 1826, Canada (according to census records) but reported that his parents were from Ireland.
He married a woman named Paulina Rose
Children of James and Paulina are:
Albert b. 1851, Canada
Mary A. b. 1853 Canada
Emma, b. 1855, Canada
Ella b.1857, NY
Willard b. 1862, NY
If anyone has information on this family, I would really appreciate some help! Thanks -
