I descend from the Henry Nobles mentioned in the above post. He was in 1830 Orangeburg, 1840 Dale and his wife and children 1850 Coffee Co., AL. Then some moved to Santa Rosa Co., FL, then to Walton Co., FL.

Looking for anyone with info on Viola (AKA Philanda or Philinda) Nobles born abt 6/1824 in NY, IN, MI or MA. She lived most of her life in NY/NJ, but spent some time in Porter Co, IN and Ray's Corners, WI. She married Alexander Collins and Benjamin Robbins and late in life lived with Emile (Frank) Sellier/Seeley. She was a Baptist and at one point told a census taker both of her parents were born in NY.

Augustus (Angus) Bruce Nobles was my grandfather. My father is Herbert Nobles (who will be 88 in May), was 16 when his father died. Davida (whom I haven't seen in many years) is my cousin, and yes, her father was James G Nobles.

Hello. Rufo B Nobles and Drucilla are my husbands Grandparents. They had Earl, Pauline and Dorris ( dorothy?)
Drucilla died and Rufo married Minnie Leah ( from Escambia ( county?) Fl). There is another son named Donald.. My husbands father 'Earl' was named Leo Earl... family called him Earl.. friends etc called him Leo. I believe I found that Drucilla is from S. Carolina.

Hello. Earl Nobles, is my husbands father. Earl's father is Rufo B Nobles Earls Mother ( Rufo's wife) is Drucilla, she died and Rufo married Minnie Leah Sauls. Earl was named Leo Earl Nobles.. family called him Earl...friends etc called him Leo. My husband is John Earl named after his father -- he can't remember where the ' John' come from.
somewhere we have a pic of Rufo in my husbands Mother's possesion. Pauline, Dorris, and Earl are all deceased.

Rufo B had ..Dorris, Earl and Pauline ...Earl was my husbands father. He, Earl, also went by Leo ( Leo Earl)
Rufo's 1st wife was Drucilla, she died and Rufo married Minnie Leah ( Esbambia (county?) fl). Hope this helps some.

Hello from my research Fred Nobles was my family in the 1920 census he is listed as one of the people in the Eugene Hendrix & Nora Roberson Hendrix household. Also listed is Minnie Noble & Jessie Noble. From my understanding he was married to Minnie who was the oldest daughter of Nora Roberson and they had sylvester nobles. Im looking for Albert Nobles born about 1838(also had a son Albert married Susan O'Donovan)census records say he was born in La. and his father born in Conneticut but I cant seem to find him before 1880.I know he was married around 1870-ish he has a kid by 1873.i find him in 1880 Pensacola Florida.and I cant find him again till 1910 married to Olivia and by then they together had 3 children she was previously married.I could really use a set of eyes on this I have been looking for so long.any help would be greatly appreciated. munson_mom@yahoo.com

Danny - Walter Ernest Nobles (our Granddad) was born either 1896/1897 - His parents names are Walter and Rosie - Granny Nobles was about 3-6 years younger, her name is spelled at least 3 different ways, Amy, Aimee, and Amey (the last is on her tombstone at Stoney Point. Our Grand Dad had a least one sister who lived around Fort Worth/Dallas, but I don't know her name. Regardless of what Mickey says, she claimed to be from Oklahoma and it's possible they moved to Texas for a few years. It's also very possible that she married Grand Dad there before they moved to Mississippi - Hoping the 1930 Census will give a few more clues. - Good Luck and let's share findings - not sure you can get to this site, but here goes

It is so nice to meet a family member. My name is Monica and my husband, Clinton, is the son of Jesse Nobles and the grandson of Daden Nobles, which is the brother to Aurthur Nobles. So, you and him must be some kind of cousins.

I have been working on the Nobles family tree and have gotten it as far back as Nathaniel Nobles, which is the grandfather of James Thomas Nobles. I guess he is the one you called Big Tom.

I am including some of the information and was hoping you could look over it and see if you have any information you can add. Information like spouses, children, births and deaths. Here is a link to the genealogy report for James Thomas Nobles.

Does anyone have information of the link between JJ Nobles and LS Nobles? James on family trees is said to have Hester Ann Nobles as a mother and John Tucker as a father. So, that leads me to believe he was possibly a nephew of Hester (she was only about16 or 17 when he was born) or he was adopted. Any information would greatly appreciated!

Augustus (Angus) Bruce Nobles was born August 29, 1892 in Georgia. He was the son of James Nobles and Marcilla McChrain(sp?)He was drafted into WWI around 1917 while serving as a Hotel Clerk in Tampa, Florida.He would Mary Gertrude Doherty (born in South Carolina, daughter to Luke Doherty Jr. and Nellie Ella Ryan)and they traveled across the nation selling furnaces together.

They would have twins in Wyoming in 1921(Bruce and James Nobles (I believe James is your father Davida)and two other children, Herbert (who went by the nickname "Mickey") and Thomas. Thomas was the father of my father, Kevin. Bruce would die unexpectedly in 1940. Marie would never marry again out of her love for him, and she would later die in 1986. Bruce and Marie are buried side by side at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tacoma, WA.

Looking for a birth record or info on the family of Phelinda /Philinda Nobles who married a Mr Collins and had son Charles and daughter Mary. Then in Porter Co, IN she married Benjamin Robbins. She may have been born 6/1824 in New York state, Indiana or Massachusetts. She lived in Glen Cove, Oyster Bay, Queens, NY from 1850-1860, then moved to New Jersey. In 1900 she lived in Watervliet, NY. Either she or Mr Collins were part Native American Indian.

My mother and I live here in Sarasota County, Florida. My grandfather passed away in 2/1991, but my grandmother is still alive. I am always looking into family, since I have so many family members.
